My brothers partner (they live in Thailand) is very ill, his doctor in the hospital told them he (brother in law) might have Malaria!
He is a Thai guy, they have NO idea how and when he might have gotten malaria!
I am asking for prayers, that it is something else. And if it IS Malaria, that he will get better soon!
I am worried about him. He is a wonderful, sweet guy and a wonderful partner to my brother!! :(

They are going to the hospital today, to get the results from all the tests they did on him.
Will keep y'all informed if and when I know more.

My brother called. My brother in law does have malaria and is in the hospital now. He had/ has a high fever and no appetite etc. Just wants to sleep all day. Am worried.

I'm sorry to hear your brother-in-law has malaria. My father-in-law contracted the disease in Iran over 60 years ago. It flares up every once in awhile, especially if he is ill with something else. I hope everything works out for him & that he recovers quickly.

I've taken care of many people with it! Very sick, very high fevers, this will pass. He's probably receiving very good care!

Thanks for the head up! I still am worried but also know he is now getting the good meds and the necessary care he needs.

UPDATE:
Brother in law does NOT have Malaria, PTL! It seems to be the DENGUE fever! Needs to spend 8 days in the hospital and then might go home. HOPE he will be better then. They (hospital) thought I had caught dengue fever when I was over there last June. I had all the symptoms but didn't have it. But he has.
Please keep my brother and his partner in your prayers.

Another update, sorry :(
It is a "bad" one. He is very ill, needs 10 days at least in the hospital. His liver might be attacked too. My brother is staying with him. AFTER he (brother in law) gets home, he will be ill longer. Vomiting, no appetite etc. But as long as he is released that is good. Might take a while, but am still worried sick
