I'm so happy for you, Ada. How neat to be a part of history! Folks will be enjoying that barn quilt years and years from now. And I LOVE your youth auction quilt.
ada mae .. mimi sent this e-mail out tonight to the Arts Council girls ..
Come one, come all, and lets get another one painted! I have heard wonderful comments about the ones that are up so far. Lets get together and work toward our goal of 24! See you at 5:00 tomorrow (Tuesday) evening. --mimi
come join us and help paint these .. it is much fun! xo
chris ... our Arts Council here in town has that list! i can get it for you if you wish. we just started this program .. and i think there are only about 8 finished so far. our 'official' list isn't out yet until we get more done.
honey .. you can get one on your barn if you want it! that is not a criteria .. we are a wonderfully 'relaxed' and fun group of gurlz .. and our goal is to get a barn quilt to everyone who wants one!
i'm having FOUR smaller ones done .. one for each SEASON. we have chosen to NOT be on the 'trail' though .. cuz' we are at the END of a road .. 1/2 mile off the 'main road' .. and really LOVE our privacy. will probably put ours on our 'TREE HOUSE'.
i have a friend who has one on her FRONT PORCH (she's not in kentucky). you can put them on any 'outbuilding' .. at least here in Green County! or a fence .. or whereever! IF you have a barn . .that is a great place for them to be.
we have one .. but no 'perfect' place on it for a 'quilt' .. sooo .. i'm thinkin' 'outside the barn'.
Thanks Frannie for the info. I know there will be a published list at some time in the near future. I don't blame you for wanting to protect your privacy. We live at the end of a 1/2 mile lane too. There is a circle drive in front of the hay shed that the quilt is on, so it will be easy for people to just drive by.
