had a reeeeeeeeely FUN day at Kathy's Log Cabin Festival today! i got this incredily wonderful wooden DRAIN BOARD from her. the water runs down the little grooves into the sink!
you are all sworn to secrecy .. CAN'T TELL HONEY HUNK ... cuz' it was $95. .. and hank would make me put on my black fish-net stockings and go "walk the streets of louisville" or get a job .. or have me committed! it is soooooooooo worth it! VERY EARLY and WONDERFUL! i, personally, have not seen one before! kathy finds the greatest stuff!
HERE'S MY OLDE METAL STRAINER ON TOP OF IT. i've been using a black plastic set and jus reeeeeeeeeeeely wanted one more befitting of these olde cabins. OH YAY! (it will be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for awhile!)
and i ADORE this folk arty spoon rack .. traces of red and blue paint. this pic doesn't do it justice! don't those great carved spoons look terrific in it. the window may not be it's final resting place. i just hung it there cuz' i couldn't find another spot! (HA! and then again .. it jus 'MAY end up staying here!!
i have lots more pictures to share with you .. will send them a few at a time as i tell you tales of our fun day!
as i walked from my car to kathy and eddie's Wrap Around Porch .. there is 'eye-candy' everywhere! They have more olde 'mill grinding stones' than i've ever seen anywhere! This little pile is jus' the Tip of the Iceberg!
and wonderful olde stones too! i told them i was gonna' steal one each time i visited them .. until they were all at my place!
their MIMOSA tree with a wonderful vignette under it!
o.k. i have now made it to the porch! what a GREAT olde zinc-top dry-sink! and kathy grew and is drying those okra pods (we'll be using them in our 'primitive autumn garlands' we will be making at our gurlfren gathering in october!

And Kathy made the most devine pasta dish for our lunch!
ohhhhhhh-wheeeeeee .. i reeeeeeeeely wanted these two rusty pumpkins ... but they weren't for sale!
miz luna doin' her wooly thing! kathy takes a little break to chat with us. luna made a felted crow today .. it was ADORABLE .. it really wasn't for sale .. but one of the guests BEGGED her for it .. i wish i had gotten a picture of it before it sold. but im sure she'll be making lots more!
