Welcome Steph...
Celeste... "right"? I know, I have all MJ's books and Magazines and no matter how hard the day has been... a glass of wine and any one of the magazines or books just brings be back to a place of joy and inspiration. Although my "wanna do" list keeps getting bigger with every "session". LOL

Am I the only one who is still waiting for the magazine? They must not all get sent out at the same time since ladies all around me have gotten theirs (even those who only live a couple of hours from me!), but I'm still waiting. I guess I'll see if it comes tomorrow...

Oh, no, Heather, you are not alone. I, too, wait in anticipation every single day. They say (whoever "they" is) that patience is a virtue...ha, not when it comes to MaryJanesFarm Magazines! When oh when will mine make its way here? Tomorrow? Maybe... |

Our Super 1 grocery store is the only store in town that has the magazine. Usually they have on "stack" of them. Today when I passed by there were two. It was the only magazine that had two so it must be popular. On the other hand when I went to the thrift store I found the stitching edition there--it didn't even look like it had been opened! I cannot wait to get the new issue of Mary Jane's magazine!! I hope it comes in the mail by the weekend, so I can relax on my front porch and read awhile.

Karin - your talents amaze me! I hope you get your mag soon! Your things are so neat and creative!!!!!!
And by the way, for those of you who do not have stores nearby that carry the mag, you can get a subscription, and I believe you can buy them at the MJF website. So order online!

Just found Maryjanes farm magazine a few months ago. Darn! I didn't send in my subscription yet so I will have to run to the book store A.S.A.P. Can't wait to read every page.

O' Yay! My magazine came in yesterday's mail. I have not had time to even skim it over yet but I am designating some of this afternoon for delving in. Looks wonderful. Has everyone gotten theirs too?

BTW, it is much cheaper to order a subscription and cheaper yet to get 2 years. I am looking forward to getting mine every other month. Plus, you don't have to hope you can find one in the store.
Steph, Welcome to the farm. I noticed in your post you said you want to be a farmer but it sounds as though you already are. Don't have to have lots of land or tons of animals to be a farmer.

Denise,
I suppose I am already a farmer. I want to make a living at it. We live in a rural area and I have a mortgage, 2 children in college, etc. Don't know if I could make it by selling summer garden vegetables, honey, and maybe eggs. I know what I love to do; just don't know how in the world my husband & I would make it financially. As I stated, I currently manage a non-profit thrift store and attend college part-time. However, I do think that one day I will begin my journey/career as a true farmgirl (and make a little money). Where there is a will, there is a way!!

I am glad to finally have my copy of MaryJane's Farm. The first bookstore I went to did not have it. After calling around noone seemed to have it and I was getting distraught. I am going to subscribe now so I don't go through this again. Karen~great job with the lovely things you made for the magazine. How wonderful!! Ruth

What is your favorite thing in this issue? I loved the tooled leather handbags and the shoes that matched. In fact, I loved them so much that I went on a hunt on eBay for a handbag. I snagged a vintage bag at a really great price. Can't wait to get it.
