What a great idea! My little farmgirl (and she is in every sense of the word!) is almost four and this would make a fun sewing project for the two of us! I could let her pick out the material and help me design an outfit! Oh--how fun!!

Cute, cute, cute!! We don't have Barbies around here anymore - sure wish we did. I may have to hit the Goodwill just so I can make some into Farmgirls.

Sure wish I still had my first Barbie. I got one the first year they came out - black striped bathing suit, blonde ponytail, and bright blue eyeshadow.

So cute!! I had that Barbie with the black and white swimsuit and funky blue eyeshadow too. Must of been a late 50's, 60's thing. And I had a Midge and a Ken. I think all of us are little farmgirls at heart, lol.

I must confess... I DID have a Barbie. I must've been 9 or 10 when my step-sister and I were pretending that our Barbies were stunt women and I threw mine wayyyyy high up in the air and she got stuck at the top of a tree, by her long, beautiful blond hair. Now if she had been in an APRON and JEANS with her hair in a BRAID, she would've whipped her handy dandy swiss army knife, but her hair out of the branch, but only where the tree could grow a new one, took off her apron and used it to zip line herself down a branch and safelyonto the ground while all the forest critters gathered at her feet and helped her skip home....

I've been alone toooo long!

Linda your blog is awsome. So is your outpost. It's getting late in the season, but I'm making plans for next year, yea!

Oh Dawn!!! Did she ever get down?? I once was doing something similiar, except I was on the back porch that had a long drop off...well..Barbie disappeared into the abyss but we did find her when it rained...she went down through the wash out pipes and ended up in the stream.

LindaEllen, what an awesome idea! I am amazed that wild Barbie hair can actually be tamed with creme rinse! I wonder if it'll work on My Little Ponies too? I must try it. :)

Yarnmamma, I would be interested in your Barbie sewing patterns if you have any to spare.

ROFLOL!!! Dawn, you sure painted a vivid picture of Barbie zip lining her way out of a "hairy situation." Loved it!!! My son like G.I. Joe's and there have been plenty of Barbie and Joe rescues around here.

Great posts!!!

As a matter of fact Heather: she did. One big gust of wind did her in! I see you had "scuba" Barbie! Or maybe mud wrestling barbie?? ooooo I know! She was the 'alligator wrestling barbie'! Wrestling wild gaters in the mud putting Ken and his never mussed hair to shame! Ken was a wuss.... (We need to forward this to Marly so Barbie can get that gater out of her backyard...)
