Happy Tuesday Morning to you all!!!!! It's a beautiful day here in VA. The air feels different this morning. I'm filled with such joyous emotion. It's the first day of school in my neck of the woods. I fondly remember those days for me when I was a child; being so excited to start school, planning the "first day outfit!", packing my bookbag a week in advance....life was so simple then....

I love the start of fall. Leaves turning beautiful colors....I can't wait to rake leaves with Zach and have him jump in the piles with me..
The cool crisp air requiring sweaters to wear. Riding on the motorcycle with hubby and needing to wear the chaps! :)

Well just wanted to say good morning to you all. The farmyard is my home away from home and I love you all!!! Close your eyes; imagine we're all sitting on a porch drinking tea or coffee and chatting in up about our day ahead.

Have the best day ever!
Jamie

Jamie, It's a hot, muggy morning here in south, central Kentucky. Last week was this way, and this week is suppose to be a repeat. I, too, am looking forward to those cooler-sweater days. That is my favorite time of the year. Although--I really like Spring-it is a chance to have a fresh beginning.
Have a great day, and enjoy your weather.

Hi Jamie!

This morning I am cuddling up with a blanket while Nora eats her breakfast. It has been raining for two and a half days so we will probably stay in until it dries out a bit! :D

Happy tuesday morning to you too. It is the first day of school here too. I just called the bus barn to see if last years schedule has changed and it has. Another chilly ride down the hill at 6:25 in the morning. It is very chilly here this morning but probably will turn out nice which will be in the high 60s to low 70s--PERFECT! MB

Morning Alee! Hope the rain clears up soon for you :)
Zach loves the rain! I treat for him is to put on his yellow rain slicker and boots and literally go jump in the puddles!!! It's a crazy good time for him...not to mention a crazy mess for mommy! But seeing him smile is all worth it. :)

Good Morning everyone! Jamie, I have often thought of how chatting with this group of friends and having a good cup of coffee is the perfect relaxation time for me! 30 years ago I lived in the country and had a group of friends who used to meet up at one of our houses in the afternoons for coffee and chat...I would be baking or folding laundry and chatting at the same time, good friends and good times. Same here!

Jamie- I am with you, fall is here. Yesterday we dusted off the tea pot and placed it on the wood stove, of which we had a small fire going to keep the chill off. I can't belive we had to light a fire on Sept 1st!!! My boys used to love to play in the rain, mud was the best!! Enjoy your time with the little one.

I accidently deleted my post! I'm so silly! What I was saying......

Zachary is the light of my life. Every breath I take is for the love of my dear son. I cherish everyday with him....even the days when he frequently visits the time out chair..;) I can't even remember the time in my life before I had my son...

A good mornin to you Jamie and everyone. I love fall weather to, we'll be getting some of that rain from the hurricane blowin up this way tomorrow. We could use some rain.

Walking on our trails is what I like to do these crisp fall mornings, sometimes its foggy.

Going out and cutting wood, picking up pinecones, cleaning up the gardens. making outdoor coffee in the firepit and just taking it all in. I love sweatshirt weather.

School started around in this area I think Aug 19th, thats just way to early. I remember those days just before school would start. Sis and I would be troubled that we wouldn't get school clothes in time. Mom would assure us by saying " you never went to school naked have ya?" She would buy us 5 dresses each for the school year, a pr of shoes. Sis lucked out on the deal, she was younger so she could wear my dresses alto a little bit bigger so that would make her ten dresses to wear throughout the year. Christmas time we would get an outfit sometimes and boots : )

Oh how we like to look at all our new stuff , paper, pencils, new water paints and who doesn't like a new box of crayons. We took an oath that we could keep things neat, that lasted only a couple of weeks then we were ready for school to end , lol.

have a great fall like day

I love fall! The colors, the smells, the leaves, and school starting! When I was in primary school I can remember the Montgomery Wards catalog coming and laying on the floor for hours picking out my dresses, a slip, etc. Mom ordered all of our clothes. It was so exciting!

I woke up cold.. I am so thankful for that. Yesterday we didn't even have to turn on the swamp cooler (I hate the loudness of it).
Kids start doing schoolwork again today- we took a couple of months off to pack for the move, and then unpack when it didn't work out.
I as always have tons of stuff to keep me busy.. but I am so thankful that it is Sept!

Blessings, Debra

It is a beautiful day here, sunny, slightly breezy, and no moisture in the air. Feels like summer, or what I think summer should be....purple asters are blooming in the backyard so I know fall will be coming soon.

Good Morning all my farmgirl friends! No cool weather here for us today. It's supposed to be in the 90's and humid. At least there's a nice breeze.

We too are expecting lots of rain beginning possibly tonite from the remainder of Gustav. They said we might get a lot of rain tomorrow, Thursday, and possibly also Friday.

I'm just thankful that Gustav didn't ravage the New Orleans coastline like they had expected. It's just further proof that God hears our prayers!
