Has anyone read Wife In The North by Judith O'Reilly? I am reading it and really enjoying it. So funny. It is based on the authors life and comes from her blog entries. Basically she agrees to move from London to the country to fulfill her husbands dream. The cover says "350 miles from home with three young children, two aging parents, and one absentee husband." Even though I love country living I can sympathize with her at times. It is also set in England which I love!! This is really a fun read.

Sounds interesting. I'll have to see if my library can order it for me. Thanks for the tip...

I love this post!!!!! Because we all pretty much gravitate to the same books, my "to read" list is really getting long! I just re-read At HOme in Mitford by Jan Karon...I NEVER re-read books but Mitford books are so comforting! Then I ordered These Be My Words that Nancy JO and several others here recommended so it is next. Oh...and I had gotten Jennifer Chiaverini's Elm Creek Quilt book #4...it's in the basement....we had tornado warnings earlier.....I just went and got it....it is "the Runaway Quilt". Wow! It is really pouring rain and windy out...it's the remains of Gustav...I can't imagine what the original must have been like! The electric is on but the satellite went out which is okay...I'm about ready to get under the covers and read anyway! I have my weather radio on, the basement is set up with my purse, cell phone, water, books, flashlight a chair! Ha! Ha! I don't have a finished basement but someday I want a bed down there so in the middle of the night I can just go from one bed to another! Have a good night all!

Oh Sandra...the Runaway Quilt is one of my favorites! I LOVE Sugar Camp quilt too.
I reserved Wife of the North at the library today and checked out The last Sineater..which is good so far..I have only read a chapter so far. I ordered a book from Amazon last night called something like A Man a Woman and a Child in the Alaska Wilderness.
