Just posted some new pictures. That THING I'm crocheting is getting bigger.
Also found out those very old tins I got the other day are Russian tea tins. Don't know exactly how old. I found a good place for them. I will take a picture of where I put them in a day or so.Would be interesting to know where they have been living over the years.
Very cool today, feels like Autumn. The sun coming into the house even has a different look to it.
Well anyway, I posted a few new pictures. Going to go wach Antique road show now.
Jeannie see how many spoons I have got since you sent me one???

Nancy Jo - I am impressed that you have proceeded to acquire more spoons, and equally happy that you kept the ones I sent to you so long ago!!!!! I love them all! Go girl. I only wish we were seeing signs of autumn as you are.

My favorite down to earth things are wooden spoons, earthenware bowls, quilts, baskets, aprons, and sweet friends like you.

Your 'whatnot' is sure getting larger. I say a small tablecloth. How did you find out the tins were Russian? It does seem Fallish here too. It is chillier in the evenings and gets dark earlier. That's what I don't like. I like it staying light until 10. But oh well. MB

Nice work! I just crocheted a chicken comb for a pincushion I am making and a tiny flower to sew on it somewhere, so I am very impressed with your tablecloth.
And your spoons are lovely , I have a thing for wooden spoons also. So nice to look at all your stuff.
sometime soon, between naps, I'm going to post a picture of some of the loot I got a few weeks ago, if I can remember what did with it.

kARIN, looking forward to seeing the pictures of the stuff when you feel up to it and when you can find it.

Nancy Jo, I forgot about the part where I can blow up your pictures, I love the pillows (and the pineapple quilt) on your sofa in the computer room. You must have sewn those, they are just beautiful. I have a little Russain tea tin my mother gave me yeaars ago, and it still has tea in it.. If I ever get to some of the boxes in my barn, I know I'll be finding all sorts of things I have totally forgotten about. That is always fun.

Oh Cool! thanks Karin...I didn't know I could do that either! I could actually see the napkin ring on the left with the engraved scroll work! COOL! How did you know that was her computer room? I thought it was her living room! Nancy-Jo I love your tablecloth! Do you have a pattern for that? What size yarn/thread and crochet hook do you use? I would love to make one like that and I LOVE your colors....who made the white one underneath? And LOVE that clock too.
I have wooden sppons that I have gotten over the years and I just stick them in with my other tools in a big crock but I think I will put them in a separate crock so I can see them better....another great decorating tip from our one and only Nancy Jo!
Did you embroider those pillows? They're beautiful! And you have the Mitford Cookbook! I am re-reading the books although I had almost all of them..... I loaned them all to a "friend"? and even though I have repeatedly asked her it doesn't look like I am getting them back but I never had the cookbook. So, I guess I will be re-stocking my Mitford collection from the beginning again! I'll wait until I move though....the realtor came yesterday...I have my work cut out for me!
I can't wait to get to my new/old place and settle in for life...then I will for sure do a blog and/or post pics of the "journey". Meanwhile I will live vicariously through your purchases and great finds!
