The first day of Autumn is right around the corner! It's Monday September 22nd.

I think I will celebrate it this year. I think I will find a perfect recipe to make on that day filled with the season of Autumn.

What will you to celebrate Autumn?

That's a good idea Angikay. Maybe decorate for Halloween. Plant autumn flowers.

My bf and I usually celebrate because we both are fall lovers...A walk in our favorite park and a toast with water or whatever we have to the season, we throw out the challenge of who will come with the first acorn of our collection for the year. We talk about our porch decorations and the first soothing meal that we have been missing making that we are going to fix. We pray and say thank you for the blessings in our lives and part with hugs and the promise to build our nests on the greatness of God...Debbie

I love Autumn! Right now I'm making Autumn themed wreaths. I want to decorate for Halloween, but we seldom have any Trick or Treaters, out here in the country. But I may decorate anyway, just for the fun of it. Soon, I know I'll be craving pumpkin pie, or yummy soups, hot chocolate with marshmellows. OOOh I love this time of the year, from September to January 1st.

I usually decorate for Halloween. Then I watch "The Nightmare Before Christmas", one of my favorites.

I absolutely love harvest time! I will decorate with pumpkins, squash, gords and corn stalks. I also will go to Greenbluff for apples. But, after my cherry picking disaster (the ladder fell and I shattered my cheekbone) I might buy pre-picked!? I think I will make a scarecrow this year too.

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

Oh Brenda, falling off a ladder :(. Yes you can get some nice fruit already picked.

I'm with all of you on Autumn, I love this season. The looks, the smells, the cool crip days and nights. I get out all my fall decorations. I too like to decorate around on the porch and mail box with cornstalks, pumpkins, gourds, and wild dried flowers (weeds),anything that looks autumn . Gather bittersweet in our woods and goldenrod.

Soap making, jelly making and homemade bread. Lots of homemade soup from the garden harvest.

Planting Iris and tuplip bulbs for a spring showing

We are planning a harvestfest in our woods, the family will be putting up tents out by our Outpost. We'll have a treasure hunt and lots of stories by the campfire. Lots of campfire food.

There will be candle lit lanterns on the trails for a night walk.

I need to get out Scary Harry and put him up on the trails. Spruce em up a bit!!!

Heres a pic of him, he's not to scary.

Lots of Blessings and much to be thankful for.

Happy Autumn ya'll

tc linda
