(tell her: FRANNIE SENT ME!)

WELL! those sweetie-pies have done it again! yet another wonderful, wonderful, wonderful issue for uz 'primitive lovin' gurlfrenz! i personally want to give a huge hug and thanks for all the work they do to bring us all together and to show us primitive homes, shoppes, hand-dids, antiques and lifestyles from all over the country!

gawd luv' 'em .. they indulged me in 'rambling' about our newest little 'angel-pie' grand-daughter that arrived from heaven this summer! i really wanted to share more of who this 'frannie-gurl' is that was transplanted from busy Washington, D.C. to this tranquil 'southern' Kentucky .. where handsome honey hunk husband hank and i have chosen to live these 'freedom years' of our lives!

i love hearing about all you gurlz .. your stories .. seein' photos of your chilluns and grandes .. and i love sharing mine with you! (i do believe from the fullness of my heart .. that sharing our life stories is how we become 'true friends')!

well .. anyhoo .. i wanna' brag on MERCANTILE GATHERINGS .. and it's articles this autumn issue! OH DOOOOOOOOO treat yourself to a subscription .. it is eye candy .. inspiration .. friendly .. kind .. and creative!

this issue .. i shared a sweet photo of my precious daughter, Wednesday and her newest 'angel baby' .. ISZABEL EMMA .. and also adear picture of her other two little ones (Lucas - 7 and Sofia - 2). they are such a huge part of my 'roamings and ramblings' .. (to 'prim' up my article a tad .. i posted a picture of each of our civil War Era log cabins .. with a promise to share more pictures of our wonderful FREEDOM VALLEY FARM in the near future!

Each issue .. i turn to Judy Wigginton's wonderful MEMORY LANE article and stroll down this path with her. It is always a treat and brings back memories from my own childhood!

++++++++

These darlin' RAG CHILLUN are the creation of Jackie Schmidt .. how wonderfully primitive .. great article about her and her creative life too!

a VERY SPECIAL TREAT for me was the home of Steve and Darlene Lesicko's home .. and the icing on the cake was also being treated to a tour of some of the treasures owned by their cute daughter Jennifer too! NOW .. remember i e-mailed you about that little trip that Kathy, Luna and I made to ILLINOIS last week??? WELL .. THIS is the dear people we went to visit! What fun we all had. I was blessed to have been introduced to them by my buddy, Kathy Sugarbucket who has known them for many years!

I mus' say both Steve and Darlene and Jennifer's homes and collections are THE FINEST early primitives i have ever seen anywhere ever ever ever! Here's a little more 'eye-candy' of their home:

ohhhh .. be still my heart .. kathy and i have drooled over this
corner dry sink forever! it is now wonderfully at home in their
'buttery'! never seen one i liked more-so!

lots more photos of their home in MG magazine!

++++++++

OH JOY!!! my very own buddy-pal .. Kathy Sugarbucket and her phenomenal farm/log cabin shoppe!!
kathy built that adorable twiggy arbor and fence!!! (kathy builds EVERYTHING here at Freedom Valley Farm ..
with the help of her boyz and honey-man!)

kathy finds the mos' wunnerful primitives ... everything earthy and farm and log cabin .. early early early america primitive!

eddie found the very old child's chair for kathy in kentucky!
kathy has an incredible way of 'decorating' and it is ever changing .. her
primitives practically fly out of her shoppe soon's she puts them down! she
has many faithful followers who know that in KENTUCKY .. she is "THE SHOW"!!!

a sweeter woman i have never met on this earth!

kathy's log cabin that she and her boyz dismantled and re-built on their property photo on bottom right is a little 'settin' place on the wrap-around porch of her beautiful farm home!

ohhhhhhhhh! and do remember .. we Kentucky Gurlfrenz will be visiting Kathy's wonderful home and log cabin during our Gathering on Saturday, October 12 for lots of fun, shoppping, games, prizes, and a delightful 'primitive 'nature' autumn garland' class taught by Kathy!

AND .. Kathy is a regular feature writer for Mercantile Gatherings on .. well .. what else but PRIMITIVE AMERICAN ANTIQUES!
this month's feature is on DRY SINKS! She tells you the history and stories about pieces she has found in each issue! Reading Kathy's article is like sitting across the table over a cuppa' tea and talkin' with a good and true friend!

Oh...if I only had my own little Kentucky home! I already told my hubby we were movin' in with Aunty S in 12 years! That's not so long is it? I'll have 30 years in at my job and both boys will be out and on their own way and I will want nothing more that "slow and steady" right on down that road to the end......
