My son bought a Wii last week. (John saved up 4 paycheks to buy the system and an extra game.) We have played this thing every day since! Because John has cerebral palsy, it took him a minute to get used to the way it works. But now? He is bowling like a champ, he's figured out baseball and tennis and is working on boxing. Of course, it has become a family thing. lol We picked up the Wii Fit today so that he (and the rest of us) can work on balance. I never would have thought that a video game would be so beneficial physically, but I have seen improvements in John's coordination already. I am so pleased. Now all I have to do is get myself back in shape and I can beat him in bowling!!!
Anna- We just happened on one at Target. I sent Ainslie and John there to see if it was still there (it was), and Ainslie had her brother stand at the case and signed "Don't Move!" to him. I know what you mean about the boxing. I sweated my way through three rounds and thought I was going to die. Who would have thought it would be that effective? My darling dh bought me the Wii Fit and I have done it every day since. I am losing weight and my body is toning up in places I thought would never be toned again. Yay for the Wii. Whoever came up with it is a genius. Hope you find one!!
