I love Celtic music. DD got me hooked on Enya and she got me her cd for Christmas. I haven't heard of Maire, though, yet. I'll have to check her out.

Oh another group that you might like is Iona ... Since you like Celtic Hymns, I definitely recommend Maire Brennan and Iona first..
I believe Maire Brennan goes by Moya Brennan now. She was in the group called Clannad and you might like that group too. :)

My family is Irish, so you know I love it! I miss my Irish grandma singing throughout the house. I love to play Celtic music at the holidays especially.

Tammy! Where did you get The Celtic Woman????? I was watching PBS one day as I was cleaning someones home (okay, I was listening to it) and these beautiful women came on singing and playing violins and it was so breathtaking and I haven't been able to find them anywhere! Could you please let me know where you got yours? I absolutely loved it and it felt like their music made my cleaning a little less like "cleaning!" Thanks! Susan

Celtic music is just lovely! You might want to listen to Loreena McKennitt too if you like Enya. Also Clannad , Chieftans & Bill Whelan (Riverdance) Ronan Hardiman, the Coors.

Susan: Were you ever able to get Celtic Woman? I found their CDs in CDPlus, Walmart...pretty much anywhere that you can get CDs. I think they are becoming more popular :). You should hear Celtic Thunder too - oh my....what voices. There are a couple of forums too, for Celtic Woman {http://www.celticwoman.com/}& Celtic Thunder {http://celticthunder.ie/}. I love them both, but I tend to listen to Celtic Thunder more often.

If you like Celtic Christian music, Eden's Bridge has some wonderful CD's. Sinead O'Connor also has some CD's of tradtional Irish songs. Maire Brennan is also very good.

I love Celtic Women, they have the most amazing voices! I listen to them everyday on my way to and from work. I really want their Christmas cd. Maybe I can sneak that into the Christmas layaway for me ;)

Take care, Melissa.

I have most of Enya's CDs and Loreena McKennitt's too. Hubby got The Celtic Women Journey last Christmas. I love Celtic music, it is so easy to sew with. I always search out the Celtic dancers at the Texas Reniassance Festival.
