Hello all! I am so excited to be here on MaryJane's Farm..stumbled upon a magazine at the local store, thumbed through it, looked up at my husband and said "this magazine is SO me!" Now I am hooked, of course. LOL I'm still trying to find my away around the site, have messaged two groups in my area (have not heard from either), so I think I would either like to join an online group or maybe start one of my own after awhile. Oh, I am waiting for my FarmGirl number to come, too...can't wait! :-) Well, I'm off..have a great evening and I really am happy to be here and can't wait to meet you all!

Hi, Amy. We just traveled through Maine on vacation this spring, and we loved it. Are you near the coast or inland? (OK, I could find that out myself on google). It was all beautiful to us.

Thank you all very much for the warm welcome!

Amie C. ~I do live near the coast. I'm a couple of miles inland, but have a view of the ocean from the bank that I work for.

Karin ~Are you a member of a local MaryJane's Farm group?

Again, thank you for the welcome!

Welcome Amie from the Pacific Northwest.
I'm fairly new at this also, but I only live about 50 miles from the MJ farm and I was aware of the farmgirls because MJ is everywhere, but this forum is so great, such an opportunity to meet new friends with your interests. I love it.

Hi Teresa Sue,
You are SO lucky to live so close to the MJ farm...I am jealous. :-) Have you ever spent the night there in one of the wall tents? I am going to order the Outpost book asap so I can get an idea for how to build one of my own.
Enjoy your day and thank you for the welcome!

Hi Amy,
No, I haven't spent the night there, but I have been to the farm. I was able to go to the first farm fair and it was great. Next years farm fair is going to be at the old mill in Oakesdale which is only 9 miles from where I live. I can't wait. I have two guest rooms and I thought maybe if there were two or three farmgirls from outa town I could put them up. But be warned I live in an old farmhouse with one bathroom, lol. I have MJ's first book, I read her second from the library, but I just saw an ad for the Outposts book today and I'm like you, I think I'm gonna buy it.
P.S. The outside beds are so cute at the farm.
