...And busted my left ankle! So I haven't been in the boot cast for more then twenty four hours and I'm ready for it to come off... I have a Darth Vader foot! I was walking around with my old dog looking at the sun ripe hills of wheat and whoops! my foot went into an animal burrow and tipped sideways and I was sitting on my bottom on the ground. Yikes!I was sure it was just twisted so I waited a week before going to the doctor. But I actually broke a chip off the bottom of the ankle bone.

Oh wow! I broke my left ankle years ago and it is NOT fun! I broke mine while I was in the Adirondacks and did not go to the dr for about 3 months. Just laced it up tight in my hiking boot and took lots of ibuprofen. Of course when I made it to the doc, xrays showed it was broken clean in half! Who knew? Anyway, take good care of it now, cause I have all kinds of trouble with mine now. I often "roll" it for a sprain now. |

Sorry to hear that you got hurt. I hope you feel better soon! Take care and stay off of that foot as much as possible.

ohhhhh! Take care of that broken ankle. Let's just hope you're a fast healer and be up and about in no time.

Oh, no! Ouch!! I know that pain. :( Take advantage of it to lay back on the couch, foot iced and propped and watch a bunch of movies.

Annika-I can sooo relate to your pain! Many years ago I stepped off our deck and into a hole in the yard and broke my right ankle. The bad thing was the ER missed the hairline fracture and all they did was put an ace bandage on it and told me if it wasn't doing better in a week to see my regular doc. Well, it didn't get better, I went to the doc who did xrays at his office and immediately put me in a cast.
Hope you heal quickly!

I did the same thing about ten years ago.....however, it was an underground hornets nest! Double Yikes!!!! Once I figured out what I fell into...you bet your cucumbers I got up off the ground and ran like a bat out of the attic back to the house!
Hope for quick healing too!!

Annika, I thought this was going to be an Alice-in-Wonderland-like story where you had a dream or got side-tracked and went off in all kinds of crazy directions. Unfortunately you only went in one crazy, painful direction. So sorry to hear it. You could do a black and red checkerboard theme..............or cover it with a bucket and say you stepped in the pail while you were milking..........anyone else have some suggestions?
God bless - Karen
