Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, I really appreciate it! I went to the post office today and had a nice surprise- a package from Miss Wilma. I could hardly wait to get home and open it and there were two beautiful handcrafted pillows inside. One with a bird and the other with a Mother and child. Miss Wilma, you are so talented and one of the kindest people I've ever met. I really love them. Thanks again so much, this really made my day!
Karen, she's still in the nursing home going through her rehab. She's not progressing as fast as they would like physically but she seems some better to me. Her WBC is back near normal levels now which is good. The medicine she's taking for the leukemia seems to be working so far although it makes her a bit sick to her stomach. She's lost a lot of weight, in the past 10 days she's lost 34 lbs. This concerns me but the nurse said she believes it's mostly fluid. She has lost a total of 64 lbs since July 6th. She just has to work on her strength and motor skills more before they think she will be well enough to go home. Thanks for asking.
