Our wooden yard swing frame had seen better days --- but the weathered wood tied in the garden look. Hubby covered the frame with chicken wire and moved the swing to the porch where an "outpost" is in the making. A wooden rabbit cut from saved barn wood was painted white and made to look weather worn. Moonflowes and morning glories were planted around the base of the frame. Along the top is a tangle of honeysuckle vine that used to grace the garden fence. One more addition --- little wooden hearts painted white with wire hangers were added to the honeysuckle. Our ready for the heap yard swing is now one of our favorite spots in the garden. The birds, rabbits, dogs, cats and occasional skunk seem to like it for their own outpost. Shady, cool and just the right size to hide out while watching the world go by. Once I learn how to attach photos, I'll post one of the swing frame.
