I went outside to give the rabbits frozen water bottles, take the little doggies for a walk and now I am melting! LOL although its hot I am determined to work and clean the studio today, I am starting with de-cluttering my paint pens and throwing out what is not working. I need to cut and organize coupons. And put lots of things back in their places.

WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING TODAY?

It's hotter than blazes here in MO also. 99 degrees and 110 heat index. I did 5 loads of laundry, picked up, declutterd a bit, vacuumed, and made a quick run to my local yarn shop which is sadly closing down :(

We are over 100 today too! There is a nice breeze today so we did spend about an hour in the gazebo reading. Now we are inside with all the dogs and a cat. Even with the air set on 82 it feels pretty darn good. If we just start to feel hot we run outside and come back in and it feels like a freezer! My chickens are enjoying their new mister hose. I might go sit out there with them!

My husband and I had breakfast at Shoney's, then we went to Tractor Supply, to buy Sweet Mix for the horses, and cracked corn for the chickens. I bought the newest issue of Mary Janes Farm, there also. After that we went grocery shopping. I wanted to go to the library today, but they had a fire in the storage room on Friday, so it's closed while they do clean up. I hope there wasn't too much damage, it's a nice library.

When we got home, I worked on two wreaths, kissed my hubby bye, since he had to go to work this evening, (he's semi retired.) Now I'm eating ice cream and browsing the boards. And it is HOT here too, plus humid. It's suppose to cool down this weekend.

Today was a VERY nice day in Lake Stevens, Washington! It was hot and sunny and beautiful! I was so happy. I began my day by helping a local church set up for their vacation bible school. It was really fun! There theme this year is a farm theme!! I helped make a lovely mural in the dining room with my sister. It was complete with rolling farm hills, a big red barn, and a cute garden with 3d lettuce and other veggies!! Later in the day my dad took me on the back of his motorcycle for a very long sunny summer evening ride up Mount Pilchuck. It was lovely with great scenery and I was able to see some great farmland!! I had a wonderful day!

It's been a hot, humid, sticky mess here. And I think the humidity gets worse after the sun goes down. I just fed the dogs and peafowl last night and by the time I got back in the house my clothes were soaked, and this was after 9:00 pm. I can't wait until Fall gets here, I'm already dreaming about cool, crisp mornings and wonderful blue skies with temps not getting much over 60.

Barbara, you went to two of my favorite places yesterday--- Shoney's and then Tractor Supply! We don't have a Shoney's in our hometown anymore, but I always try to hit one when we are out traveling. I used to eat at the one in town several times a week before they put a Hooter's in it's place (sigh). And I love the way Tractor Supply smells when you go in the door. It's that combination of feed, rubber, and leather I think. I know, I know I'm weird.
