This was the first year for our family to enter things in the county fair. It was fun. The children especially enjoyed seeing their creations on display. I have posted some pictures on my blog.

The dresses weren't made specifically for the fair so it was not stressful. I am hoping to do more next year and for my oldest to sew or knit something well enough to want to show.

Did anyone else enter anything in thier county fair?

Becky,

I will enter a few things in the fair this year...we are only allowed to enter 3 items for each person...except for 4H..the kids can enter all they want. They will enter alot of stuff for sure. Produce from the garden, needlework and art things...not sure what all yet. Our fair entries go in on the 18th. I am still not totally sure which items I am entering. Probably salsa, something embroidered and maybe a skein of handspun yarn, or peaches..we will see.

I will be entering some things. Our fair isn't until September. I will be entering a doily and a painting for sure. Not sure what else yet.

I think I am going to try. The entry has to be in by the 15th and the fair is in September. I'm not sure what I will enter yet. I would love to take my kids though. I think it would be a lot of fun for them.
