had a reeeeeeeeely FUN day yesterday (Saturday) .. arrived at Kathy Anthony's (that's SUGARBUCKET ANTIQUES) lovely home and log cabin for her gala weekend sale and festivities! brought along some dollies and a basket full of dolly-making sewies to demonstrate and talk about making rag dolls. Lots of people came .. Kathy's sales were fantastic .. and a few of my orphans found a new home!
I met lots of wonderful women .. some whom kathy has talked to me about .. some who knew me through kathy .. some new to both kathy and me. picked up a few more friends to come to our fun October Gurlfren Gathering too!
Luna arrived lookin' "brown as a beautiful berry" .. with her spinning wheel .. wool, carders and adorable wool sheep and rams that she is making! We sat on the porch of Kathy's house which is jus' a hop, skip and a jump away from her cabin. Ladies wandered over to chat and watch us 'do our thang'.
That sweet Eddy (kathy's honey-man) went to get us a big bucket of FRIED chicken .. i don't often eat the SKIN of chicken .. but i think i left half a bucket of meat on the bones .. in the bucket .. SANS SKIN!!! i still have grease on my chin! YUMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!
I FORGOT my camera (as it was .. i was an hour LATE .. and RUSHED out the door! i did borrow kathy's camera and took some photos .. when Eddy forwards them to me .. i'll post 'em!
kathy will be having these fun sales from time to time .. and i'll let ya'll know when the next one is .. hope you can join us! xo
Frannie, Sounds like you all had a wonderful time. Nothing like sharing a festive weekend with gurlfriends. Cant wait till the October Gurlfren Gatherin!
