Good mornin, Im babysitting again and I have tons of clothes that have to be washed and dried. House to clean,supper to fix and well hope to get a few other things in there somewhere. Hope you all have a great Friday!! Karen

Today is 'work on the pool' day (it looks like someone poured 100 gallons of milk into the water!!). I've got a little laundry, some bills to pay and a few cards to send. Then it's off to town for me and granddaughter to visit my dad in the nursing home, then on to E-town to return my granddaughter to her home. I wonder what else will find it's way into the day?????

This morning I talked with my son stationed in Korea. Then on to finishing the quilt top for my first grand baby. Next I need to pack my over night bag as this is my families women's weekend retreat. Then to a job interview, the fabric store for quilt backing and then on to my mother's house to start our retreat. Tomorrow we will meet up with the rest of them (about 20+) for a play done in Shakespearean time, dinner and hotel in Galena Illinois. On Sunday you guessed it. SHOPPING!!!!!!!! then home later in the day.

We were just in E-town yesterday!
Yesterday was my brother's birthday (16) so we are going to the lake today for him to try out his new sailboat he's been working on.

I have a batch of bread n butter pickles in their little 'hot tub' right now, and there's a 5 lb bag of peaches waiting for me to make them into something magical.

For me, I think today I'm just going to take it easy. I had to go to the doc yesterday evening because I had a horrible redness all over my body. It was sort of like a rashy thing, but with little raised bumps and lot of resness! The doc said it looked like a strep rash and tested me for it...but it turned out negative. Turns out I have a UTI or urinary bacterial infection that caused the rash...she said it's like scarlett fever in the ol' days. I'm on antibiotics now but I just want it to go away!!! My face and neck itch so bad and I'm still all red!!

I went out with my daughter today and the grandkids. Did some school shopping and I got a new quilt set for our bedroom. We dropped the kids off at their Dad's to go up to the 1000 Islands with him for a week. So they should have a good time. Then we went to Olive Garden and had an early supper. We tried the new shrimp and zuke and tomato dish it was really good. Had a fun time all day.

| Got to my daughters house at 7am to take care of my two grandsons....one has a wicked sore throat so fed him popsicles and juice all morning. At noon, I went and cleaned someones house until 4:30pm. Came home, ate dinner, moved my living room around and cleaned that real good, took sunflowers and a loaf of zucchini bread to the new mommy across the street, did the dishes, vacuumed, and swept my porches. Tomorrow is my day off!!!!! Yeah!!! I'm sure I'll get into something. Have a great weekend, ladies! Susan |

karen .. i did a coupla' loads of laundry too! ...
ada mae .. i never did get to town .. had a doc appointment for an x-ray of my little piggie to see how it's coming along. after TWO hours .. i got the x-ray .. but never did get in to see the doc (had to reschedule) .. HA! i "pulled the diabetes card" .. which i will do .. if i'm tired of waiting somewhere .. told 'em i had to go get lunch .. and wouldn't be able to return that day .. rescheduled for next week. cut is all healed on my toe .. and it doesn't hurt .. sooooo .. why can't they jus' call me and tell me the x-ray is fine .. OR .. to come back in cuz it isn't healing right. HA! guess they gotta' house payment to make!

oh betty jo .. you have the grandest plans .. be sure to tell us all about your retreat and PICTURES! ...
kayla .. is your brother going to keep his boat at Green River Lake? is there enough wind there for sailing? hank wants to get a 'day-sailer' for here.

angi-kay . .is it as hot down in texas as it is here in kentucky? .. we've had some HOT HOT HOT weather lately .. we are getting rain though!
gracie-wilma .. it is ALWAYS tooooo HOT for me to do this sale! i didn't even get my stuff to glovers station yesterday after my doc appointment. toooooooooooo HOT! what treasures did you get?
oh mary jane .. i visited the thousand islands MANY MOONS ago! i seem to remember one where a 'castle' was being built ... but it think the man's wife died and he just stopped working on it. do you know anything about that castle and island today?
wowzer susan .. YOU had a busy busy day too .. you are a sweetie for takin' care of friends and family. hope your little one is all better this morning. POPSICLES ... ahhh yes! a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down! xo

wow gurl .. that was a 'coup' to find all those quilt tops! i went a couple years ago .. and thought i'd end up in the hospital with the 'vapors' it was so HOT! i had to drag that sucker up a huge hill in a LIGHTENING STORM!
WHY DON'T THEY DO THIS THING IN THE AUTUMN???
