Our papers have been inundated with stories on the Fires raging across the state of CA, many in our area. We haven't had a smoke free day in WEEKS! It looks like a coastal fog surrounding us. Today is pretty clear though, I can see the sun!!
The most recent story though, just yesterday, was a VERY sad one about a young firefighter killed when he was helping to cut down the damaged trees. He was only 18yrs old. Same age as my oldest son. My heart broke for his poor family and I cried just thinking about it. So sad......

ha! i think i keep happier NOT knowing all the saddness in the world! xo
I usually don't read the local newspaper. If I do, I spend too much time finding errors, there is usually not much positive news. I don't need negative news, all I have to do is turn on CNN or any other news show. I agree with Frannie. I don't need to know all the sadness. Marly
