Oh my...You all just have to try the recipe for "lunch bars" (granola bars for lunch boxes) in the brown bag section of the lastest issue of MJfarms magazine! They are just wonderful. I have made double batches two different times now..they are so so good and easy and healthy. I sent 3 members of my family off to a pioneer trek tonight..with enough to eat and share with the other "pioneers". Just had to tell you all...this recipe is a keeper!!

You mentioned this before, Aunt Jenny and I'm glad you reminded me! I kept meaning to get out the magazine and go the grocery and then I forget (this month, I've forgotten a LOT of things!!) Thanks for the reminder, I'll for SURE be making them up!

Ummm Aunt Jenny, did you have a problem getting your bars out of the pan? I greased the pan and everything but they seem to be super glued to the pan! Lol! I guess I'll try baking 'em on parchment paper next time....

secret seems to be to cut them and take them out when they are slightly warm. I had a harder time the first time and the second time was easier. Parchment is an excellent idea. I have some and will be using it myself next time..thanks for the idea!

Jenny those sound great. I have had to come of the Fiber One bars ....it worked but just a little too well! So I want to give my kids them but not as powerful. These Granola Bars sound like a good substitute, problem is I have just subscribed to the magazine, does anyone have the recipe they could post or email me! Thanks you xx

.....always a farmgirl at heart!
