one pumpkin and a few gourds are all that had time to grow .. but they look really sweet on this bench that sits on the outdoor shower porch

I love that school desk--looks like a 2 seater!! Reminds me of the schoolroom on "Little House on the Prairie." Have you taken any "treasurers" to Glover's Station yet? I need to stop in there and take a look.

Frannie, the desk and bench looks great on the porch!! That desk is a keeper. I just love it.

Sandra, we would love to see your pics. You know gurls just love to see what each other has. Always come away with ideas. I know when I visit with friends I always think they have the neatest "stuff" and when they come here they think I have neat "stuff". I think it is just a farmgirl thing. I have some pictures posted on my blog. A few pics of my kitchen collections in the older post on my blog. Been lazy and havent take many lately.

That desk is a real find. I haven't seen one like that in ages.I can't believe all the pretty gourds you got from your garden already and a pumpkin too! Your little red school house is a treasure,I bet you have a lot of fun with that. Keep the pictures coming I love them. Like that bench too.

nancy .. i love the 'simple' look of it .. i think the only other two things i'm adding is a 'schoolbell' and the sign.

but .. then .. you never can tell what i might find when i'm out 'tiquing'!!

joy .. i JUMPED for JOY when i saw luna's desk .. she said it had green paint .. and i wasn't sure of the shade .. but i LOVE it! i love that it is all wood .. yep! a two-seater. I think it must be OAK under the paint though .. cuz' it is heavier'n heck-fire! (good thing it's painted .. oak can be beautiful .. but 'homey don't do oak'.

oh karen come join the gurlfren fun .. you're not all that far away .. our other sweet karin from georgia is comin'!! mayhaps you kids could 'meet up' and drive together!

maryjane .. i was surprized at the gourds too .. they will probably be all rotten by 'autumn' but what a nice summer surprize when i look at them!

my bench is wonderful .. i was given a photo of the olde general store it sat INSIDE of for many years. the woman who sold it to me said that it sat literally 'around the cracker-barrel with a checkerboard on top'! what great images that conjures up! COME VISIT!
