Girls, didn't know where to post this--I am sewing up some team roping themed pillows and want to embroider some fun stuff on them. What's the lingo for roping scores? I know there's a Plus 5, etc. Anyone know about this? I don't want these to look too goofy by putting in something that's not "real."

Thanks.

Gigglin! Well, not sure what to say about that one Wilma. I cut my hubby's hair too, but he doesn't have enough to mess up too bad!

The 'skeeters' got Sterling pretty bad right after that haircut...think I went a bit too wild with the shears. I use the sheep shears on him.

OH Jami!! My fiance would kick me somethng hard right now. He was into team roping a couple of years ago. He only gave it up cause his finances took a downturn and he had to sell his horse. We go to our local rodeos and always, always watch it on tv. I can't think of any scoring lingo. I know there's the header that comes out first. Then there's the heeler (I think that's how you spell it). And I know they extra seconds tacked onto their time if one of them breaks the barrier. Is it an extra 5 or 10 seconds? I'm thinking it's 5. Try googling team roping or Walt Woodard. Jeremy has his videos on team roping to learn new ways to throw a rope.
Sorry I'm not much help.

Thanks Melanie. I did look online first but my former brother-in-law ropes and he used to use a slang lingo for the scoring and that's what I wanted to put on the pillows...I have a call into a roping friend and hopefully I'll get an answer.
