Hello,
My name is Connie and I am new here. I live on eastern long island, NY. I LOVE gardening, and try to 'live off the land'. I am married with 2 boys and lots of pets. We don't have an extremely large yard, but I have nice sized gardens in which I grow a lot of veggies, herbs and flowers. Mostly I grow from seed or cuttings. I feel that I am a farmgirl at heart. I have Mary Jane's first book which I absolutely LOVE!
I also have a bath & body product line which I started last year. I make my own homemade soap, bath salts, salves, bath bombs, lip balms, all natural dog shampoo bars, massage oils and more! I trademarked the name for my line, it is 'Nature Maiden'. You can see my products @ http://www.NatureMaiden.com

Hi,
My name is Brenda and I'm a new Farmgirl Sister! I live in the beautiful Texas hill country, 15 miles east of Boerne. I LOVE Mary Janes first book (have had it a while), ordered her newest book and all the back issues along with ordering a subscription and Farmgirl membership just a couple days ago. I was sooo excited to see my name and sister number already on the member list!
Anyways, I am married 30 years (next month), no children but blessed with 15 nephews and nieces. We have 7 cats, 2 dogs and plan on getting 2 miniture donkeys and want to start raising chickens. The donkeys and chickens will have to wait until we finish building our "Western Town" which is 90% done. This is quite something for me, since I grew up in the city! We now have settled on 8 acres after living in Kentucky, Alaska, Oregon, New Mexico and now back home in Texas. I just love living in the country.
I enjoy rug hooking (not the latch hook type), sewing, cooking, painting, decorating, just to name a few. I can't wait to start earning badges, I am the Girl Scout leader at the children's home where I work and volunteer at, so the girls will be excited that "Mrs. Gaston" is working on some of her own badges!
Well I've just rambled on because I'm JUST so excited. This is the first forum I have ever been a part of and look forward to visiting with all of you.
