My daughter has warts all over her hands... Weve taken her to the doctor but nothing has helped he is sending us to a specialist but not until November so if anyone has some all natural ideas I would sure love to hear them we are up to try anything :) Thanks

I heard that too, Julie, but unfortunately, it never helped me when I was little--had two on my thumb. It's a viral thing, I believe...seemed like there was something over the counter that Mom bought that worked. It's been around forever, and I can't think of the name to save my life.
Sorry your daughter is going through this..I know how "icky" it can be and make you feel.

Hey Brandy...
Try chopping garlic cloves and applying them, or their juice to the hand...leave on overnight, wash off with tea tree soap (make sure the ingredients are pure organic tea tree--which is an astringent and antibacterial)...I know the garlic is smelly, but my mother did this for my sister when she was little and it cleared the wart up in a month or two...granted, she only had one wart, so I'm not sure how it would work for the whole hand.
Hmm, Jonni, do you mean compound W? I think that's supposed to work well...

A friend of mine just covered hers with duct tape. Go figure. But it worked! Takes a while. She just cut the tape a little bigger than the wart. She had all these little bits of tape on her hand. Now, I've heard that you treat it with apple cider vinegar but it can really hurt (by soaking or using a cotton ball with the vinegar on it and covering with the tape). BUT, I don't think my friend did that. I think she just used the tape. -- I've only had one wart (as a teen). It was between my toes and had gotten so big that my shoes weren't fitting properly. I went to the doctor and he "burned" it off. The needles for the pain meds were the worst (in my toe) but he basically burnt the top and then took out the "seed" and then cauterized the roots. It hurt for a long time (especially after the boy next to me dropped his history book out of this locker on my sandaled foot..what a mess!) I would think with the use of lasers in the doctors office now, it shouldn't be so traumatic.
You can find this information if you do a search for "remedy for warts"...there are lots of sites that talk about using apple cider vinegar.

We did the duct tape thing. We cut it in one inch squares and put them on the wart. Completely cover the wart. It eventually went away.

I've heard of using duct tape too...and heard it was quite effective. My husband recently used "Compound W Freeze-Off" and it worked. It's just a small bottle of liquid nitrogen...like the dermatologist use. Good luck. Let us know what you tried that worked.

Yep, Zan and Kate...compound W was what we ended up with. They never came back--and that was in kindergarten :)

Vitamin E will work. Rub it on the place and take capsules. Also, buy a wheat mill. My son had a smiley face of warts on his right hand. It was quite funny. I bought a wheat mill and then within a month all of the warts were gone! For more info on that get Sue Becker's cd for free from www.breadbeckers.com.

I had a wart on my finger when I was a kid. My dad tells me to wrap a piece of bacon around it and wear it for a day. Then I had to bury the bacon at midnight by the light of a full moon. So, Dad's are always right and I did exactly as he told me. Lucky for me, we had a full moon that very night! Set my alarm to go off at midnight, then I went out in the garden in the backyard and buried the bacon strip. Lo and behold! My wart fell off within days. My dad sure knows his stuff!
He confessed a few years later that he totally made the whole thing up but I was so serious about it he didn't have the heart to tell me it was a joke! I still wonder though...

My son had warts on his hands from the time he was 6 until last year (age 10), we tried everything natural and medicinal so we gave up and then one morning he woke up and they were gone.

My dd used to get them on her hands too. One would pop up as one went away. We did the freezing at the dr's office, but it didnt work new one still popped up. And some are just in spots you can't freeze. I even bought the home kit for freezing them. It's just something that needs to run its course. They are viral. The dr said what the freezing does is irritates the skin & causes our white blood cells to attack the virus. She suggested using duct tape & I have read articles saying to also use that. That it's as effective as or better than other remedies. Cheaper & less painful too. Takes longer, but it works. My dd wouldnt wear the tape, but hers eventually went away on their own.

The freeze away stuff is what FINALLY got rid of the wart I had on my elbow. I had a doctor do it once, then I did it 2x with the home stuff and it's finally gone.
I'd heard of the apple cider vinegar and duct tape too, but neither ever worked for my stubborn little bugger. |
