Lots of traveling this week. As soon as I get off work I'm heading down on Friday. Hubby has to work Saturday so he won't be along for the ride.  . I'll have to leave either late Saturday or very early Sunday morning as I have to be in Renfro Valley to take photos.
I'm being a procrastinator since I've been working 2 places plus my photography stuff. I still have Nancy Jo's package to mail her...first thing in the morning I'm mailing it out. I still need to gather stuff for this weekend. Wilma - what is the checklist on what we need? My brain is more scattered than an order of Waffle House hashbrowns at the moment.
I have my camera batteries charging up and I'm going to have my memory cards for my camera. I cannot wait to see everyone that's for sure. The weather calls for 0 rain this weekend. In fact, last night was the first rain we got in a month.
I'm excited about seeing everyone. How many are going to be there now? May have a little something extra to bring. :) Carol Sue I've been thinking of you (ok that rhymed..haha)...I have to book flights at work and I keep going "ok, Carol Sue gets to fly on a big bird this week." :)

Okay girls here is the menu, Baked beans, potatoe salad ,coleslaw. baked country ham, pulled pork, Green pea salad. macoroni and cheese, pasta salad, Broccoli salad,chicken and apple salad, Jonnie is doing 5 pies, Joy is bringing cake, Jonnies mom is bringing cake,Fablous fruit salad Miss Wilmas peaches and garden corn, Dana is bringing homemade bread, David and I will be cooking all day Friday so we dont have to Saturday, For lunch we will just have some light sandwiches. Sunday Morning my guest will have a Real old Ky farm breakfast, Sausage and country ham, Homemade gravey and biscuits along with Sterls famous Big biscuit made especially for Lisa, fried apples and jams and I am buying homemade butter from the Custers . Now to top everything off I have one pint of pure Ky moonshine from Harlan Ky that I am going to let all these girls devide Will do another one for things we are doing

We will start around 9-oclock, will be doing birdhouses, learning to paint with buttermilk paint, scarecrows,christmas ornaments, heart pincushions from a crazy quilt,Doing patches for a jacket or vest,doing pincushion dolls ,snowmen,small stockings and more, Lainey wont get here as early so I will help get some of hers started, you can do all or pick and choose. We will have our large meal around 3 pm, after that the band will play from4 til 8and the clogging and bootscooting begins , Just in case some of you other girls plans have changed, and have some free time come on over I still have two recliners and a sofa, We are getting ready to have a blast , I will also have some things for my little farmers and farmeretts to do also

LOL well shoot..I guess it can be hobble skoot:0) but gee whiz..I bet once everyone gets a swig of that good ole Kentucky moonshine..no one is gonna notice anyhow..so..guess that was sorta the "plan" all along eh LOL..get em all to get a big swig and then they wouldn't notice who could/couldn't dance after all.
Ahhha..the truth comes out now!..but..I didn't tell... hahaha.

and sounds like yal have what we call a "mean feed" going on..just look at that menu..oh my..looks like everyone is gonna leave a bit more rounded out than when they showed up..you are gonna put some meat on some bones eh? LOL have a grand time. I know you all will!

I'm sniffling cause I can't be there. Waaahhhhhh. oh, that was a whine, wasn't it?
Hearts cut from a crazy quilt for pinkeeps?? Ahhhhh, some of you know anything quilt related makes my heart go pitty patter. I can't ever bear to cut into a quilt, even when it's a true cutter.
I'll bet most MJF ladies (and menfolk as my MIL would say) would love to be at Miss Wilma's this weekend. Truly looking forward to photos posted for us to see and be even more sad about not attending. I'm quite sure it will be the meeting of the year for MJF members, friends and family. |

yes photos for sure.and yeah..I'm doing a little whine too.
but hubby is planning some get away time for the whole crew and I can't cut into the funds for that when the whole crew here needs a bit of get away time and some r and r up near Chattanooga soon.(we haven't taken a family get away time for about 4 yrs so this will be nice for all of us)
but I know ya'll are gonna have a blast...and I'll be with you in thoughts though.
maybe I'll have to have ya'll come to Florida one day for a good ole' Florida Sunshine Shin Dig..:0)
or definitely save my pennies for the next go around at Miss Wilma's.:0)

Oh the food is making me hungry tonight, yes, I am packing and wondering if I have what I need....lol.
See we eat all the food and then dance it all off.
Janice sent you an email, sorry haven't been on computer until now. Family life happening...all good but trying to take care of everything.....

Don't forget the greens, Wilma. Our friends at the Smoketown Barbecue here in Louisville are making a pot of greens for 50. They're also sending a stand to set them on so we can keep them warm and serve from there. And they're loaning us a big metal rooster Lynn got at a yard sale for a centerpiece! LOL! Wait till you see this guy! He has a door/hinge in his side and a candle and punched holes all over him so the candle light shows through. We think he's from the 70's! He's traveled all over Louisville on their catering jobs, and we asked if he could come to your place. Maybe we can name him while he's there!

Everything sounds absolutely wonderful! Can't wait to meet and see everyone. Ms. Wilma, I'm trying to sneak in a wonderful pumpkin cheesecake that my neighbor makes to bring! you will love it. I hope to be there by 10 so I will miss the early stuff but I will jump right in. Wow!
