OK, looking for answers to a poll on my blog - it is, what is the favorite way to enjoy zucchini? Fried, sauteed, steamed, disguised, etc.?
Please stop in, vote, and take a few minutes to leave me a comment! I love hearing from you guys!

Steamed with olive oil and herbs, but the rest of my family likes it best fried after being floured with lots of salt and pepper. I don't have to disguise it here..we all love it.

Woohoo, Laura! You're on your way, now. I like my zucs fried up like green tomatoes with parmesan cheese mixed in the bread crumbs. Other wise I usually make mock apple crisp or zucchini bread. But this year I'm making some mock pineapple, too.

Brenda, my favorites are stuffed and baked (Ritz crackers, a little mayo and lots of fresh basil whizzed up in the food processor. Cut zucchini in half length-wise and scoop a little bit out of the center to make a spot for the stuffin'. Mound stuffing onto zucchini, put on a baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes?? I don't really have a recipe so keep checking on them). Another way we love them is chopped up and added to stewed tomatoes along with some onions, basil, garlic, salt and pepper. Just cook everything until tender. We serve in bowls as a side dish or over homemade pasta. I've only ever made this with EVERYTHNG from the garden and home canned tomatoes soooooo good!!

Zucchini bread is the favorite around here.
I also love it steamed with a little salt, pepper and parmesan cheese. Or steamed with yellow squash and sprinkled with grated cheddar cheese.
I don't have to disguise it for me. But dh and my boys...that's a different story. I tried hiding it in cookies one time and my 4yo spotted it instantly. I had to eat the entire batch of cookies because no one else would touch them!

Okay, gang: haul out those zucchini bread recipes and share 'em with your FarmGirl sisters! I've got zukes appearing now and pretty soon, we'll be ready for something different from stir-fries :-) |

We like it fried with bread crumbs and parmesan cheese or as bread. The little ones are great raw with dip too.
