Well, I hope this is okay to post here, but I am getting more claustrophobic in the little one-bedroom condo as every day passes. We have people we call the cops on all the time next door who play terribly loud rap music on the right and now on the left, someone has just moved in who plays more terribly loud music and their kids scream at the top of their lungs (I understand kids, but this sounds like someone is kidnapping them!!! and they are out of control children!) -- I grew up around land and horses and goats and sometimes had to live in the city, but you know where my heart is!
I once thought it would be neat living in the area I lived in but boy! do I want to "get back"! We aren't really in the best way to be moving anywhere larger, but I would just like to ask for prayers to have God possibly lead us in a better situation. I guess it's not all THAT bad (I have alot to be thankful for!), but I don't have the greatest health either, and the quality IS going down around here.. for lack of better words. I worry about the future, about the state of where this country is going and what will happen. I don't have a doom and gloom outlook but I do want to be "aware" and want to take care of us!
So... yes...any prayers would be appreciated....

hea brooke, this might not help but why don't you look at http://www.pickyourown.org/TXhouston.htm they are pick your own farms in your area. Or you could see if they will let you work an hour or so and take veggies in return for work. It would get you out of the condo and on land that you yearn for. I will pray for your situation and I expect God to find you somthing that would better suit your needs. Since you are in a condo have you looked in your area for a cottage? sometimes there are cottages on land for rent for the same price as a condo. Just trying to offer some sugguestions. hugs

AngiKay's suggestion is what I would have suggested too. I wish you lived closer Brooke, I would welcome you to come and relax on my porch.

Thank you, AngiKay and Diane.. I am going to look at that. That would sure sound like something nice to do. I wouldn't mind working for some veggies or something like that too. I can't find really good friends here. I never could, it's wierd! It's just not that easy. Diane, I would love to relax on your porch any time and wish I could. That would be wonderful. I wish you all were closer because the women on here are so nice and just different than the people here!
