So far I would have to say 30! I just turned, but I feel so tuned in to who I am right now. My kids are fun, DH and I are finally out of that "growing up" frame of mind--things are great!

Wonderful questions that you are presenting Frannie! I used to ask my students questions like you have been asking ........ but having to answer them myself is an interesting turn-around.................
I think I would have to say my late twenties and early thirties .......
I got married to my Absolute Best Friend and we moved every three years as my Husband was in the military ..... I know moving every three years doesn't sound like fun BUT >>>>>> IT WAS TO US!! We loved moving and having to fix our house up right away because we knew we were only there for three years and ~~~ We always bought very old houses and loved the challenge of making it a home!!!! We were meeting new and wonderful friends and living in fun places AND ~~~~~~~~ MY SON WAS BORN when I was in my early thirties so that was the ~~~ BEST of the BEST of times!!! Took seven years before Jake was born and we were two of the most JOYFUL people in the world when our little one arrived!!!! YUP .......... Late twenties and early thirties!!!!!!
Love the questions Frannie!!!

For me it was my mid to late 30s. I think any age can be ideal though. But I married when I was 35 and got to travel some then.

I'd have to say that any day the good Lord blesses me with is the ideal age.

40+...I am a stronger more self-assured woman the more I go deeper into my 40's (I'm almost leaving them behind actually!) and I feel great and can still get up on my horse without a stool and hike up a hill without stopping...so got everything I need. It's just that I got myself "back" somehow after 45....now you'll all laugh at this....that was about the time the young adults flew the coop..hmmmm. Possibly it's my sanity returning and it feels good, girls!!! Aww, now don't get all sassy with me...you know I adore my kids just like all of you!

I would have to be honest and say I dont think I've hit my ideal age and I am soon to be 36 on 7/22.... How does one define the perfect age?

Miz Frannie, you ask some very thought provoking questions. To answer this question about myself, I would have to say now. In my first life I am 45, but since my "near death" experience as the doctor calls it I am only 4 yrs old. Today at 45, I can honestly say that I am happier in my skin than ever before. I have gain tons of knowledge over the years and won't trade any of the experiences, trials or tribulations that I've gone through. They are what has shaped me into the woman I am. I embrace life more now at "4 yrs of age" than before because I look at the world totally different. I truly feel that the good Lord has a reason for me to still be on this earth and I now take every opportunity to enjoy life every day.

Jami
i know exactly what you mean. I LOVED having my kids, homeschool and sharing their beautiful lives and is the highlight of my my life in many ways. But now at 57 even though life is hard in many ways, physically, financially, etc. I am doing what i need to do with my life. Although I am literally fighting every day to keep my farm and build it into a sustainable business, I would not trade where I am now for anything else.

i am so loving hearing all your answers. it is fun to sometimes 'go deep' .. and see what is important to us .. and mayhaps choose to get rid of some of the 'sorrow' times .. or just realize what we want to 're-visit'. AND most of all .. i believe that sharing our stories .. getting to know each other (as long as we always look at what others say/write in a loving, non-judgemental, kind-spirited way) .. we all become to that ideal that is known as 'TRUE FRIENDS'. (that's what i named my dolly company many moons ago .. because FAMILY and TRUE FRIENDS are what make this world so beautiful for me).
keep those stories coming in my 'question game'! xoxo

Thank you Wilma...you are an inspiration to me, you know.
Thank you too, Frannie. Your questions really draw us out to really get to know each other and ourselves and understand our differences a little better.

I have to admit that all ages for me are the perfect age. I loved the carefree feelings when I was a kid, I loved the strength and self-assuredness I felt as a teenager, I have loved the struggles and triumphs of being 20 something including being a wife and a mother. I feel like a good wine- that I just keep getting better as I get older. So as long as I don't turn to vinegar...my perfect age is whatever I am at- right then!

I'm in my mid-forties and I kinda like this age. I have small children due to getting a late start, I can stay at home 'cause hubby is gainfully employed, we have achieved our dream of a farmstead. There is a certain wisdome at this age that just wasn't there even into my early 30's....I think things will just keep getting better. I seem to like whatever age I'm at best.
