Ok, so, today, Michelle~huckleberrywine & I traveled over to Rathdrum, ID for the Vintage Barn Antique Show & oh wowzer was it fun! Both Brenda~past blessings & Pamela~photobug were vendors with booths full of wonderful goodies... It was like being a little girl on a dolly shop! Our brains were on overload with all the goodies....well all I can say is that there are so many wonderully crafty/artistic ladies out there. Needless to say both Michelle & I got neck cramps from looking at all the goodies,,,& yes we managed to buy a cart full of "stuff". Hey Bev~bee haven maven...I wore your beehive feltie pin & got several compliments on it! As for Michelle, she wore a cute "Bee Apron" that she stitched using Maryjanes apron pattern & she got a lot of wonderful compliments on it. I posted a few pics on my blog so pop over & take a peak. Hope you all are having a fun weekend too!.

My teenage daughter and I have just started antiquing and we are loving it. She likes retro and I like just about anything. The barn show sounds so neat... we would have loved it. I just think that would be to much of a road trip... ha ha. We are jealous!

I had so much fun yesterday! Had to rest up today. Whew! That much fun all at once can wear a gal out. It was so good to meet you Grace! What a hoot you are! I had to meet the fur-babies, adorable little kitties. And seeing Brenda and Pamela again was great, surrounded by their oh-so-tempting prettiques. I'm still trying to figure out how to work it so I can buy one of Brenda's gorgous painted brass beds, match it with our old fixer-uper farm truck and convince my DH to let me set up a gorgeous "room with a view" just like in the new book.
Grab a gal-pal and go out there! But wear sunscreen...I forgot and I'm paying for it. Ouch! I just know these great shows aren't limited to our neck of the woods. It was so great. The organizer requested all the vendors to wear aprons to help identify them, so my first thought was that they were MaryJane Farmgirls I just hadn't met yet. Felt so comfortable and fun! You can't help but smile when you're in an apron with a bunch of other folks in aprons too. And the visiting! Too bad it was just one day, all the talking, looking, shopping, snacking...What a blast! Combine that with a trailer to stay in, and we're talking serious fun!
We make a difference. |
