Hi Everyone,
I thought that I would try to make some Black Raspberry Jam or Jelly tomorrow and have a question. Which do you prefer - Jam with the seeds left in or Jelly without the seeds Thanks for your input.

i use a food mill for my jam and find that it takes otu someof the seeds while leaving all the flavor and pulp of the berries. not sure if you woudl actually call what i make jam but its good lol. peace connie in alaska |

Yep, jam for us, too. I don't mind seeds, and even my picky Jus doesn't mind em in the jam. When it's on a biscuit with butter, you don't even notice!!!

Okay, so I'm going to be the lone dissenter. . .I really like the blackcap Jelly! I DO like the texture of the jam, and it IS more spreadable, but the jelly is just so FINE! It's one of the only berries I make jelly with rather than jam (okay, okay, so I did make a batch of jam too. . .) If you have enough berries, do one of each! They're both delicious! |

I love the seeds in it, my gran doesn't. (Dentures) I usually make two batches!
