I'm not sure if this topic has been mentioned before, but I was thinking that a fat quarter exchange might be fun. I was in one some years back and it involved picking a grouping of colors or type of fabric (print, homespun, batik, etc.) and everyone exchanging within that group. What does everyone think?

Can you give the dimensions of fat quarter? If one wanted to 'make' some fat quarters, what yardage does one buy in order to cut up into fat quarters? Sounds intriguing.

A fat quarter is 22 x 18 inches.

Take a yard of material, fold it in half then half again. You have your fat quarter.
