I should have stayed home and in the bed today.
I went out and was going to get gas in my car at the place where I have been buying gas for years
Well,
I pull in where I always pull in ;
I take the pump out and pushed to pay inside ;
and what I wanted to pay for it
They are suppose to turn over it and
you put the gas in your car right?
well,
it didn't work ; the person in side did not turn it over
Put it back in the slot
and did the same thing ; still no one turned over the thing
Well,
I get in my car and go to the next pump.
Same thing twice
Got back in the car and went up to the station and got me some juice and some snacks
( I am suppose to eat snacks when I am at home or out; being Diabetic type 2)
Went to pay for those
I said." Hey, I couldn't get the gas to pump in my car."
I was as nice as I possibly could be
The lady said well those pumps are for pre pay at night
I always go to those pumps the guy beside me had no trobule
She looked at me and said
"You have a sorry attiude lady !! You aren't going to get anywhere today with that attitude."
To Me she says that !!!
My mouth fell open and I said " Excuse me?"
She said
"you heard me lady, you have a sorry attitude"
I looked at her like she was crazy
I said."I think it is you who has the sorry attitude!!"
By this time
All the other people in the store were watching to see what would happen
They had the expression on their faces that said they couldn't believe that this was happening
Guess they thought oh boy a cat fight,
I told the lady to let me pay for my stuff and I would get out of there.
She rung me up,
put the change and bills in her hand;
balled her hand up in a fist.
Prceeded to hand me the change
She wouldn't give me my change!!
I said ; are you going to give me my change.
She said I am giving it to you lady !!
I took the change
Going out the door ; I told her she lost a customer
I told her
By the way , I hope you have a terrible awful day !!!
She said my attiude stunk
She was the one with the attitude.
I called the district manger and told him what happened
Then,
I finally get home
I had rested up and was taking off my jewerly
and I had lost a gold wedding band
Luckily it wasn;t the diamond one.
Hopefully tommorrow will be a better day.
Question;
Do you all think I have a bad attitude about things?
I know I complain alot
But,
if I do , I would really like to change it.

Forgive & forget my butt..
She was a crazy nut Job.. don't go back there..
I'm glad you complained..
Her job is to work with the Public & to realize the frustration over the Pumps not working when they are supposed to be.. & if there is a different Policy then what you are used to doing explain it.. NICELY!!
Nopt with an attitude..
She should have said something NICER like..
"Gee.. i am sorry.. But our Policy is that after hours we have a prepay for the outer pumps to avoid drive offs.. sorry for the inconvenience..
I should put a note on the Pumps.. Sorry.."
Most Gas Stations I go to have a message on a pump to explain that if it's something they do..!
There's too much frustration going on right now in JUST buying & being able to afford the gas.. we don't have to put up with a nasty attitude from some one behind the counter too!
So no.. I DOn't think you were out of line at all.. She needs an Adjustment.. OR a new Job.. she obviously doesn't appreciate the one she has!
She should Never behaved that way..

I appreciate both of your replies ; but I agree with you Kathie
Had it been one of my 3 brothers or my hubby
She wouldn't have gotten off so easily
I also thought about maybe what could have happened.
Like something bad
I have a tendency to walk away from confortations over things like this.
I got fed up.
Mind you, I don't go around picking fights.; I am not that type of person
MOst people who see me think I am a softie
and I won't take up for my self'
I have learned
that certain things you have to take up for yourself
Again,
mind you in a nice manner.
I was as nice to her as I knew how to be
The lady that was with her behind the counter
she couldn't believe that the woman was saying what she said
She looked at me and shook her head
I agree the lady needs an adjustment with her attitude. thanks
