We have a lady here that has a lavender farm. She used to make lavender wreaths and sell them for $50 each and had many back orders. They were gorgeous.

Actually I just looked and she has a website now with lots of ideas and recipes.

She is a very nice person and would probably be more than willing to exchange emails with you if you so desired.

Rene click on my website link below(not the blog) and you can see my lavender wands. They are pretty simple to make and make great gifts! You just need to make sure the stems are fresh and well hydrated before making them.

Hey Rene, is this culinary lavender? Can you cook with it? If so, BigTownFarmer did a whole article, with recipes, on this a few months back:

What kind of lavender is that? Mine doesn't ever have that long of flower stems.

BigTownFarmer's article had loads of information; thanks for sharing the link. I wish more members of my family were into lavender. I'm the only one! Unfortunately, I think I missed the big lavender festival here in Washington (in Sequim). I wanted to check out all the great creations. Keep us posted with what you make, Rene.

You didn't miss it. It's usually around July 20. You can find it at (www.lavenderfestival.com)

Rene, I don't think there is any fragrance more lovely than fresh lavender., aren't you good to grow it and have it to perfume your home. It is so cold in the winter here I've never had any luck with lavender, that picture is so beautiful....
