Ok, there are appliances that come and go and most are fairly ordinary, but due to fibromyalgia, especially in my hands, I bought a Bosch stand mixer. Its design is different than most stand mixers and I have to say it completely kneads HUGE batches of bread and whips tiny batches of whipped cream with equal ease. If anyone is looking for a stand mixer, I would HIGHLY recommend this one. You can get blender and food processor attatchments and more. Its easy to assemble and take apart for washing, most of the parts can be put in the dishwasher. I find that I don't even use my hand mixer any more. Just thought I'd pass along info about this piece of equipment. They are sold by dealers and you can find them online.
I deal with fibromyalgia (although I say it's in "remission" right now! thank God!) and I have to say I love even just my kitchen aid mixer (even tho it's heavy but luckily, I don't ever really move it)! I know how you feel! That and my griddle were one of the best wedding presents! If my kitchen aid ever goes..I'll look into a Bosch!
My mom has the Bosch and is always raving about it. I am like Brooke and still have the old Kitchenaid. Someone told me the new Kitchenaids aren't as good since they have plastic rather than metal inside parts. I like the attachments that can go on the front of the Kitchenaid. Do the Bosch ones have attachments like that? Sue
