While looking for recipes this morning, found this little vintage cookbooklet from 1951, put out by the Vanilla Bean Association of America: The Story of Pure Vanilla with Recipes. Thought one of you Farmgirls might enjoy a little giftie -- don't you need a recipe for Baked Alaska, Popcorn Balls, Peacan Pie, Sour Cream Spice Cake, and more? 32 pages in all in this little vintage booklet, which also includes the history of vanilla. Might be good for a homeschooling mom? If you're interested, let me know. I'll collect up to 5 names and then draw a name one week from today (on October 15). Then -- off it goes! |

Who doesn't love dessert?!?!?!?
My mother has this one so I'll pass but Good Luck to the rest of you. It really is a great recipe booklet!

Katie, I love all things Vanilla and I collect vintage cookbooks, so please include me in this drawing. Kim - I made homemade vanilla for Christmas, too. Would love to know how you made yours. Everyone in my family got a set of homemade extracts (vanilla, cinnamon, allspice and clove) and they were a hit.
