Hi All, I wonder when I read your posts, what "DH" means? Can someone 'splain it me?
This question, along with Miss Wilma's finding our what a "wife beater" is this week, has gotton me to thinking = we should share and compile a farmgirl dictionary of sorts. Or, maybe there is one already and I haven't found it? I remember early in my ebay career, I kept seeing "oop" in reference to books and movies and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I finally asked another ebayer and, lo and behold, it stood for Out-of-print.
My hubby says "SOP" a lot, which stands for "standard operating procedure" but many people have no idea what he means.
I say "TMI" a lot - which means "too much information".
Everybody chime in with the terms, slang and shortcuts you use. I'll be so grateful, Karen

I have simply assumed that DH and DD are Dear Hubby and Dear Daughter...man I hope that I am not wrong...but my favorite is PITA...as in Pain in the A#&!! I have the 2 little ones, so I had to get creative when it comes to explaining to my DH what he is acting like....when he hears PITA he knows he is in for it!

I have to admit it took me awhile to figure out dh, dd, lol and such. But after a while I figured it out just by the context in which it was used. The rofl I had to ask my daughter. She knows all of that stuff even though she doesn't have a texting phone (cell phones don't work here anyway). Every now and then, somebody uses some abbreviation that I don't get and I just skip it;)
Sherri, that is one looooong list of acronyms. How could anybody ever memorize all of that stuff? I think I'll just stick to typing out most of what I want to say. That way, I (and everybody else) know exactly what I'm saying. LOL! Ha!
