Now you all probably know these tips already, but if you don't here they are. I always shave my legs with any creams or lotions that I have around. You know you buy that one you think you will love and there it sits. Makes for a nice base for shaving, much better then soap or shaving cream. I keep my makeup in the fridge, especially the cream foundations as they can get melty in the summer. They go on so much nicer and feel so nice and cool. Today was a first for me with an ankle bracelet. Not even sure if its a true ankle bracelet or its just to big for my wrist. Well its a perfect fit for my ankle. Looks great with my white keds. Ha. Better get out the sandals. Anyway, going to remember that when my bracelets are to big. You know those curtains that I love to have blowing in the breeze, well sometimes I give them a spray of a pretty scent and it carries it through the house. Well there you go, probably things you smart farmgirls already knew, but maybe forgot. NANCY JO

Once when I went to visit my sister, she had all her nail polish and her knee-his in the fridge! At first I thought the Alzheimers that runs in the family had kicked in for my sister......but she says it keeps the nail polish fresh and the knee-his from getting runs in tnem. I am still wondering about the alzheimer's thing though...... Thanks for the tips, Nancy Jo. I never knew the one about the lotion for shaving - I am going to try that as my legs are too dry.

No stockings for me either. It's hard to get me out of jeans/pants and into a dress/skirt at any time - LOL!
I just washed all the curtains for the trailer, and I'm going to try your tip for scenting them(there's ussually a nice breeze out there). :)

Nope, no stockings. Even in the winter.
My other favorite trick that I learned from my Aunt who was very "fixxy" (and it's SOOOOO 1940-1950) is to put a pink, red or rose colored scarf spritzed with your favorite cologne over a lamp shade (with the light on). Great for soft lighting and the heat makes the scent carry throughout the room. She always believed that women looked much prettier in soft lighting :)

My knee his and stockings remain in the fridge and will be there forever - that keeps them from running!

I knew about the nail polish, but I've never heard of putting Knee-Hi's in the fridge. How does that work? Just curious, but it doesn't really matter-- I haven't worn those things in YEARS!!!! In fact, I rarely even wear SHOES anymore!! I wear thongs and sandals almost year round. Makes for some ugly lizard heels, but hey..if my FEET are comfortable, the rest of me is comfortable!
Oh, well, I DO wear slip-on tennies outside when I garden and out to the barn when I feed and care for the animals. Easy to get on and off (and LOSE!!!) so nothing nasty gets tracked into the house. I won't tell you how many times I lost one in the hay stack, or in the pens (EEEWWWW!!! Nothing like GOAT and SHEEP pebbles between your toes!!!), but, the great thing about feet is-- they're easy to clean! (HA! HA! HA!)

Stockings? Knee highs? Not sure if I know what these are? Don't bank robbers use to disguise themselves?
Love my dresses long and flowing when not in my bibs or jeans.

Does it matter what kind of lotion you use? This would be a great idea. I always look like I got in a cat fight and the cat one when I have to shave my legs and since most of me is legs...it ain't pretty!! I've heard of keeping your bras in the fridge over night and it helps keep you cool after you put it on in the summer....I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds sane enough. hugs Jess

A BRA in the fridge Jessie? Oh that would be nice-- especially if you had company over that likes to "help themselves!" (LOL!!!) That would be too hilarious (or EXTREMELY embarrassing-- they'd wonder what kind of game you and Hubby were playing!!! wink!wink!) How could anyone explain THAT and sound convincing? (he! he! he!)
I use the hair conditioner all the time. I usually use natural soap that I buy from a lady I know in town, (until I learn to make my OWN), but it doesn't work so well in the "leg shavin'" deparment. I read the tip on using the conditioner for leg shaving in a magazine once and I've been using it ever since.
PS-- Hey Jessie-- have you gotten my letter yet? I got your yours (SO SWEET!!! THANKS!!). My reply should be on it's way to you! Hugs-Hugs-HUGS!!! ~~~Tracy
