She was having so much fun, I let her keep playing with it for a couple of days actually. :D I can always run the vacuum and make more baby powder if needed- but how can you replace such sheer joy?

I love your attitude towards it. I was one to pick up the camera and take a picture rather than getting mad. Except for the morning dh woke me up to tell me "the boy" had gotten the peanut butter jar out while we were sleeping. There was peanut butter in a semi-circle as far as his little arm could reach while still laying on the heater vent (his favorite place) up the side of the piano, the couch, in the carpet, all over him. I came out, took one look, went back to bed and layed there until I could come back out and not kill him. Now I wish I has photo documentation!

Thanks ladies!

Yup, I think the messes are cute although there are times when a bit of frustration enters my voice when I see her happily unfolding all the laundry I just folded (not my favorite chore right now) or when I find her chowing down on the dog food (ick!) But for the most part, she is just an amazing, inquisitive child and I love that about her, so I try very hard to no squash that. I really think that kids, especially at her age, learn best by feeling, exploring and investigating. If I roped off everything that could make a mess, I think she and I both would be very frustrated and probably lead to bigger messes in the future!

Plus now my living room and vacuum smell pretty with lavender! No harm there! :D

Cute!! Don't you love those moments. My 21 month old grandson will do things like that - I run for the camera and know this one will make a great scrapbook page.

ya know Alee, speaking of homemade baby powder..the best thing for diaper rashes/heat rashes I know of in a powder form is good ole' cornstarch.

Oh, how well I remember THOSE days! My oldest boy was FOREVER into things, and sometimes I he had me laughing so hard I just COULDN'T scold him! (other times he had me in TEARS!!!) I never had a camera then, so those things are only in my memory and my boy is all grown up now, but you know what? He's STILL making messes, only now they're BIGGER and DIRTIER!! Sighhhh.... what's a mother to do? Look forward to the grandkids I suppose! (but hopefully not for a few more years yet!!)

Your little girl is ADORABLE Alee! Thanks for sharing the laugh ~~ hugs~~ Tracy

Alee, you are so lucky that it wasn't powdered sugar. Olivia got into a bag and managed to sneak it into the front room before I caught her and her sister with it all over the end table and carpet!!! That stuff does not clean up well at all. I have to confess it was a little funny though. Nora is so cute!!

So cute - My girls just giggled and giggled when they saw these photos! They think Nora is adorable too.

Today, Paige and Brooklyn got into my eyeliner pencil. Brooklyn made herself into "Frank" with a mustache, gotee (sp), and cowboy hat. Paige transformed into "Edna" with "old lady wrinkles". They have been playing and laughing all morning. Nothing like saying, "No Cartoons", to spur on the imagination. Love it.

Thanks ladies! I love it! We get into messes all the time around here and just laugh. Well, see what she did earlier today and you will know what I am talking about. I figure there is very little in life that a little time, soap and water won't clean up. She's only in this stage once and these are going to be memories and pictures that we can enjoy later.
