I read about this book on one of the threads a while back (I think it was Alee's thread about airing bedding), and had to get a copy! I've just started reading it, and I'm amazed at all the wonderful information it has in it! Good read!

Cool, Jodi! I will have to pick up a copy once I get done moving! :D
Isn't it great? It's like the ultimate home ec. text book. So much info.
I love her introduction and how she admits to being a 'secret homemaker'.

It IS like the ultimate home ec book! When I opened the package and saw the size of the book, I was like 'oh my goodness, this is the housekeeping BIBLE'!! It's really wonderful.

I have that book too...problem is I haven't read it....DUH...but the author is Cheryl Mendelson, published by Scribner in 1999...thanks for reminding me! I would rather read about cleaning than actually do it so now when I get the urge maybe I'll just grab that book instead! LOL!!! Thanks for yet another excuse for me to procrastinate! Sam in AR
Me too, Kate. I really do like a clean house and I would rather clean than do bills anyday. I am in for a break from mowing right now...it's half done and I ran out of gas but I have some so I'm good to go when I go out. It is a gorgeous day here today. It's 89 but there's breeze and only 47% humidity rather than the usual 97% so I had to get out there and take advantage of it. I put weed and feed on my lawn (this house was empty for 5 years before I moved here) and the weed and feed worked.....I hardly have any lawn left....it was all weeds! LOL! Needless to say I am kicking up a lot of dust in the neighborhood today! Ha! Ha! Better get back out there and "git er' done"! Later........Sam in AR
