thanks guys!! I have been looking back to old topics to refresh myself about who has been farmgirl of the month. I can't find the first thread. Have there been three so far? Karin....and was it Kathy or Smoothiejuice??? Tina - I found your thread and remember you were first...your photos were fabulous. If you know where other threada are, I would love to go back and read them.

Hi, Frannie from Kentucky came up with the idea at the end of March/about honoring one farm gal a month... and announced that I was to be the first Farm girl of the month..the April gal... then at the end of April I was to announce May's Farm girl of the month..and that was Karin(mum of 3)... then Karin was to name the June gal of the month...there have only been myself and Karin so far..and now Jeannie. At the end of June Jeannie will announce July's gal and so on. Hope this helps explain what's going on a bit. Tina

It's open to all farmgirls..the one chosen chooses the next one and so forth. I must say..I don't know all the particulars about it as it was spearheaded by Miz Frannie..and from what I gathered it was to where a gal was chosen then she in turn chose someone randomly. It's a lot like the "Random Act of Kindness" thing..but this way everyone that wants to can send to that chosen girl for the entire month..a wee surprise. She(the gal chosen) gets spoiled for a month. And honestly I don't know how..you "get your name in". It is up to the person that is chosen for that month to choose another farm girl "randomly".There isn't really a "list" to join..it is totally random. ------- Gosh..I hope I haven't caused more confusion.

I emailed you back, Melanie. When Karin chose, she put names in a box and then chose one. That is a fair way to do it. I will probably do it that way, too. So I will start keeping a list of names! Tina - thank you very much for making things clear....it helped me!

Laura, I read your blog and you are absolutely right!!!! I just found out I will have a third gandbaby, God willing, on January 21 or thereabouts! Just found out at dinner last night! I was shocked....but today I am so happy. I see you love being a grandma too.
I love red, white and blue. Not because I was born on the 4th of July, although I was. Not because I am patriotic, although I am.... but because I love barn red, slate blue, and white or cream colors in my house. Thank you for asking!
I will visit your blog again. Isn't it amazing that folks can be so much alike, and live so far apart? :) MJF has discovered that secret and I am so glad she created this place.

jpbluesky!! Oh, yay! Sweet treats and good wishes will be delivered to Jeannie Pierce in Florida!! An entire month of Farmgirl love is heading your way, Jeannie.
I'm not going to tell you yet. Actually, I have spent the past few weeks wondering just who I want to bestow this honor upon. You have all popped into my head for one sweet reason or another. And so, I have left it to chance. I wrote down each name that came to mind over the past few weeks and added them to a little bowl. Realizing that May is almost over, I felt I had best get crack-a-lackin' and choose someone. So, the name has been chosen, the wheels are turning for what to put inside my package to her and on Saturday, the last day of May, I will let you know just who she is. Until then, I am busy making "thank yous" to be sent to the lovely ladies who popped something in the post for me. I feel loved, cared for and warm all over from the comments and treats that have come my way. You are, each and every one of you, so deserving to have something wonderful come your way. Don't forget to stop back by on Saturday, when new FOTM will be revealed. I think you are going to agree with me- it's the perfect choice.
