Hey Jess, I ordered the mermaid patterns from the site just listed that also has hillbilly patterns. Gosh they have ALL KINDS of patterns on there! www.colonialpatterns.com. I think they are under the Traditional & Vintage section. You all will love this site. They have so many patterns and it was such fun looking through them all!!

Farmgirl Hugs,
Carol

Dear Carol, I am so happy you've joined in the fun around here. Welcome.
I bought lots of my transfers recently at Hancock Fabrics which is a chain, i think, as well as a website. the aunt martha's that i bought at hancock are not on the web but there are patterns... http://www.hancockfabrics.com/shopping/search/searchresultsmain.jsp?category=0&keyword=embroidery+patterns
I also Invested recently in a couple of embroidery books and kits complete with tranfers inside by Jenny Hart, these books are avail at any bookstore, but i got mine at Barnes and Noble. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/results.asp?WRD=embroidery
Don't forget the wonderful vintage inspired embroidery patterns that MaryJane has in her books and at least two of her apron patterns. Especially notice pgs 228-243 of MaryJanes Ideabook-cookbook-lifebook & pgs 36 -37 & 52-54 of Maryjanes Stitching room. The apron patterns for sale on maryjanesfarm.comthat I know of that include embroidery patterns are the baby smock apron & Farmgirl Apron.
Also, in the past i have purchased some embroidery patterns from the craft sections of mccall's and simplicty patterns...but this has been infrequently though.
have fun! Karen - happy farmgirl #89

Dear Karen, You are so sweet!!! Thank you so much for the nice welcome. And thank you too for the links to the different sites and your suggestions and ideas. I appreciate them all! You know I have to take a look at the aprons you suggested on this site. I was going to order the pattern for the frilly apron, I think it's called, the one with the ruffle around the bottom. I LOVE that one, but hey one won't be enough!!! So I'll definitely check those out. I saw the vintage embroidery patterns too, in MaryJane's book(s) and I will probably wind up making those. I need to purchase some tracing paper and tracing marker to do those. And if you saw my other topic about buying a new sewing machine, that's something I need too, especially to make my aprons, the Frilly Apron in the current issue of the magazine is soooo cute, and in the next issue of the magazine will be the patterns for the petticoats!!! I just love it all!!! Thanks so much,

Farmgirl Hugs,
Carol
