We were all set to look at some land (see my post about the toilet system stuff) and when we realized how much it was going to cost us just in diesel to drive over there, we decided now is not the time to do anything.

So we are staying put and saving our money (like mad, I might add) and living as cheaply as possible. We live in our 5th wheel in an RV park and talked to the manager about really fixing the yard up, since we're going to stay a while. So we have plans for a deck, flowers, the works. We haven't done anything to the place cuz we always thought we'd move pretty quickly.

Now not so sure! My horse is in the best barn around with a gem for a barn manager and I don't feel comfy with anyone else looking after her (besides me, of course!).

So we keep saving and keeping a sharp eye for the spot...just now is not the time. It just doesn't feel right either, to buy. Things are not in alignment, if you know what I mean.

But I'll keep rooting the rest of you guys on!

I guess it is better not to test the depth of the water with both feet. You'll get there someday!

I think you have to follow your gut feelings. We almost bought a house, then lost it and were crushed, but later realized it really wasn't for us. We were just SOOO anxious to buy and move out of the city. Later we found what we have now and I look back and realize we didn't really follow our instincts that first time.

It will happen:)
