I was so so sad to miss this! Had a flu virus, and still felt rotten this morning.
Did have a nice couple hours horseback riding with my husband this evening though.
Can't wait for pictures!!

I'm happy it was such a success, Rene'.

Wish I could have been there too. Had to be in Spokane with kids.

Dalyn,
I know what you mean. My youngest just returned from camp Wooten and has had a fever and such all day. I was thrilled that the weather was so beautiful... I can honestly say I was so "stunned" by the number of women that came out..... But so thrilled and we are gearing up for some great fun! We will keep you informed if you gals wanna join in, as we are so close. I am glad to hear youre feeling a little better.

Let me know how/if I can help. My group is small, but they are so talented. I think they are a great bunch, maybe a bit shy.

Hi Michelle! Yes, now that you have goats too, we need to get moving on the soap and cheese workshops *U* We could do those things all together.
Rene, if you and your farmgirls want to do a "soap making" workshop this summer, let me know. I have a few gals here who have been waiting for that. There's no reason why we can't all have a potluck lunch and a workshop. That would be WAY fun.

I am hoping to to a meet and greet as there were so many that are new to our community - then having a soap making class would be amazing! janae is our goat girl here....I know she would be open to anything as well.............let me know and I will make it happen ( that is my talent) ahah!!

Michelle,
I will post some pic. soon! we had so much fun! And the gals coming out helped to make the market one of the best days ever... The weather cooperated, it was so perfect. I played- the videos of Maryjane and the farm ( from the web site) I handed out the bumper stickers and certificates when gals signed up.. along with some candy that was donated.. Had MJ's books and magazines on display. I had advertised the roundup from 10-12.. but by 10 I already had 30 gals signed up.. wow!!

Hey what are you guys doing for farmettes.. I have 2- I am a sisterhood member - but if you guys have a couple farmettes maybe we can hook them up!

We have so many amazing gals that do amazing things - it blows me away!

If Michelle wants to, we can carpool to Prosser- so yes, you can host *U* Let us know dates, times, etc. I'm pretty open. I have 4 kiddos who are often with me, from almost 16 down to 9. They are easy though.

Dalyn...
I also have gals in the chapter here that make license plate purses and pails, as well as a chocolatier, fiber weavers and the list goes on... So I am sure they would be willing to offer anything to your group as well...

Wow, our group is so small, we might as well join you all a few times a year for some of those fun things you listed...I'm excited! I LOVE to learn new things.
Well, today is my last kidding due date, and the maternity ward in my barn is busy. I'm also milking again since food prices are thru the roof, and I live so far out that by the time I drive somewhere, (pay the gas) and pay for the milk, it might as well be caviar! Thanks the Lord for my goatie girls. I have four children that like to drink milk, and I require it in my morning coffee *U*
All that to say, I'm a little busy on the ranch these days, but would relish a trip to Prosser for some farm girl fun and education.
Let me know...

I cannot wait. I have had a few gals step up and offer to help with the organizational side of things and I am THRILLED to see the ladies feel such a strong connections with it.. and take ownership. Would be fun to visit with you and Michelle and map out some classes and such for the "joint" chapters.... I am hoping to get a "meet and Greet" done here really soon... allowing the gals to meet and connect with likes, (you know who likes to do what).. then move on from there.

Our Farmers market has been OSOOOOO busy! I am sure the gas prices and the food prices have plenty to do with it... It is kinda great for people to have the market as a place to excape too... This weekend we are highlighting the grass-fed beef... So fun!

yay for Farmer's markets!! I sadly don't often make it to ours because it's on Sundays, but I sometimes can sqeak in there tail end. I LOVE shopping at a Farmer's Market...best food, great people, good prices, the variety of homegrown is a treat compared to the shiny, waxy displays at the grocery store!

Congrats of the success of yours!
