Dr called me today to tell me I have Epstein-Barr virus/mono, same difference I guess. Well couple that with my fibro and wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - I cried like a baby. I have to see her in a week - just want to be able to have energy and feel good again, the warm weather is coming and I need to be able to function and make money. Well I will keep this brief, I have a headache and the back of my head hurts, there are glands back there to lol - Sent hubby to airport to pick up the puppy, I was just too tired to go. She said I need sleep and I need to eat good. I think I have lived of Chinese soup and Lo Mein noodles for a few weeks. At least I am starting to get my sense of smell and taste back, that was starting to scare me. Sooooooo guys, just send me the healing light and love of your friendship.

Kathy,
I am so sorry.. are you looking into some things to help boost your immune system? After I was diagnosed with Lupus.. I was encouraged to add barley grass, enzymes and probiotics to my diet.. and boy what a huge difference... The barley, or algae or whatever (detoxifies the system), the digestive enzymes helps the body not have to work as hard, and the probiotics are like acidphilus and bifudus live enzymes you get in natural keifers and yogarts it helps to restore the natural flora in your system (good bacteria) to help fight infections (which they are starting to say is the culpret for these type of autoimmune things...I know that when your in the midst of this finding the energy to help yourself heal is a challenge, but certainly worth it... One place that has a lot of resources is dr. joseph mercola's website.. could save you some time.. if you "run" out to get some enzymes or probiotics.. dont buy them if they are shelved... they should be refrigerated...Youre in my thoughts and prayers.. there is life after auto-immune diagnoses....it just takes a little to get there.....

Tina is absolutley right.. lots of water and sunshine.. ( I would even find a shady place and nap.. but the fresh air and a little sun was so life affirming... ALSO... CONTINUE TO TALK TO US.. OR WHOMEVER....If I didnt have girlfriends back then I think I could have fallen into a black hole and never found my way out...

HI Kathy - I know exactly how you feel. I was diagnosed with that about a year ago. My fatigue comes and goes - some days I am full of energy and there are long spurts when I am so teired. I have a gland on the back of my neck that is always swollen but when I get a cold or something else, it swells and gives me terrible headaches. I have stopped using artificial sweetners and t hat has helped a bit. I have also been trying to get more sleep at night and that seems to help too. My doctor told me that if the gland on my neck bothers me thewn I can have it taken out. It won't rid my of the virus because I will always have that, but the headaches will decrease. Good luck with your doctor appt. I'll be thinking of you!
