I don't know what it is lately but I have been feeling really good about my curves. I see pics of Selma Hayek, Sophia Loren to name two and I feel like them. I feel..can I say it...sexy!! I used to hide under tents and now I show my curves a little more. Nothing extreme but a little more form fitting and showy. I love the swish of a long skirt on my tan, muscled legs, a little cleavage and some swagger to go with it. I have been wearing some red lipstick and mascara and I let my whacky wavy hair do its thing. I am either having a mid life crisis, channelling my 1950's diva or I am FINALLY feeling free to be myself. I even went out in a 2 piece tankini at the lake and felt sassy. I have about 40 lbs to lose for health reasons but darn it, I feel good!!! I am giving up on what society says I am suppose to look like and loving me!!! Who wants to join me??? Let me hear all ya'll say it---- I LOVE ME!! I EMBRACE ME!!! I AM PERFECT JUST THE WAY I AM!!!YEEEEE HAAAAWWW~~~~

* You must realize this is coming from a girl who has hated her body since puberty at 12 and finally decided that 22 years later, I am gonna love me!!!! I was told "Sexy" meant trashy or many other bad things but I now know the true meaning of sexy!! MEOW!!

You go girl!

I too am mostly comfortable too. I coulod use to loose a few pounds, but honestly? If I were to try and drop the weight and get back down to my old fighting weight of 117, I would have to exercise every single day and eat nothing! (I'm 5'5) And no, I'm not fat at all. Call it midlife spread. I get exercise these days by cleaning elephant barns and slinging a thousand pounds of elephant dookie every day---no joke!

Food is too good, life is too short, so everyting in moderation

And happy to report, I can still comfortably fit into some clothes I used to wear in highschool.

I echo Anna's sentiments-- YOU GO GIRL!

WHO sets the standards of what a woman should look like anyway? Most men prefer a woman with some "meat on her bones." Sure, they admire the women of Hollywood and those half naked (and NAKED) women in their "men's" magazines. But at the end of the day, the reality is this-- Men LOVE a confident woman no matter WHAT size she is. Sexy is a state of mind that reflects upon our personalities. If you FEEL sexy Heather, then you ARE sexy!!

I used to be a size 5. Now I'm a size 12. I'm "Pleasingly Plump," the mother of 3 nearly grown boys, and almost 37yrs old-- but I STILL see men's heads turn when I walk by. I STILL see their eyes light up when they talk to me, and that glimmer of disappointment when they find out I'm happily married. (then the SHOCK on their faces when they learn HOW LONG I've been married! Too funny!!) So who says you gotta look a certain way to do all THAT? Embrace your feelings! Hold your head up high! And buy another tube of that red lipstick honey 'cause your gonna wear out that other one QUICK!!! Hugs from a sister "HOT MAMA"~~~ Tracy

Occasionally I get just a bit discouraged. I'm 38 and work with 3 younger gals still in their 20s!

But over time, they'll get wrinkles and start to sag a bit too.

After last years skin cancer scare, I started applying the sunscreen DAILY. Two of the girls have started the same thing, so its fun to know the quiet influence we have sometimes.

And, I really don't look my age either. I don't get carded near as much....too many facial wrinkles I guess from years living in the desert, but it's fun to have people guess

I guess it's going around, girls! I'm starting to feel the same way. I guess my confidence shows too because I've even had guys tell me I look good. I still don't like the way I look in a traditional bathing suit, but I bought two of the skirted tankini's from JC Penney's and feel pretty good in them.

I love this topic!
Like so many others I have never accepted how I looked, always wanting to be tall and thin.
When I started dating again I was really surprised to find out that men prefer a woman with a little meat on her bones. It's sexy.
My perfect weight WAS 125. I learned in weight watchers that as you get older you have to add to that number for a realistic body weight. (Who knew?) My new goal is 140. I weigh 165.
I am muscular and am very proportionate and I'm learning to love me no matter what my weight is.
I put my scale in the garage and I'm walking and working out in the gym again.
My gauge is simple...how do I feel? I do things that make me happy and bring me pleasure and make me feel connected to the most female parts of myself and I have found that THAT is what men find attractive. My self confidence. Happiness is contageous and people notice it!

I have been comfortable in my own skin for a long time, but it was a long struggle to get this way.

MOST men I know, have told me they prefer real women with curves. I can handle that. LOL

I am 36, and people think I am 30 at most. They are amazed I have a 17 year old son, they usually think he is my little brother or nephew.

I also think there is a difference between elegant and sexy, and trashy and tacky. Most women I know, know the difference.
