Hello everyone. I am an old farmgirl from West Virginia. I have an old husband and three children, 2 boys and a girl. I love to sew and cook. I am currently taking care of my mother, who has alzheimer's. She lives with us and we share alot of good times together. I also have a St. Bernard, Bubba ,(he thinks he is one of the boys). I should also mention Mr.Dingles, the cat. He was abandoned in the ally behind our house last year and so we adopted him. I am currently making cloth dolls and aprons. I can't wait to start meeting all of you. News flash....the strawberries are finally ready for picking. Looks like jam making this week-end....yum!

Hi Pam!! Welcome to the forum...where is Williamstown, WV? As a child, I lived in Chester, WV, a small mountain town with a one room school house.
Sounds like a great life you have, especially with Bubba! Nice that you can care for your mom at home--it's work, but you'll never regret it.

Thanks. Williamstown is near Parkersburg WV and Marietta, Ohio. Yes taking care of mom is very rewarding. I'm blessed that I can do it.We go camping over in the mountains whenever we can it is so beautiful. I want to live there when I'm really old (ancient) ha,ha.

Hi Pam! I am another Pam from Georgia. Your cloth dolls and aprons sound wonderful. It is good you have time with your Mother but also know it can be stressful taking care of her also.

Hi Pam and welcome! I also have two boys and a girl (17, 15 and 13) and a dog that considers himself a human. I also make doll clothes and have the patterns for aprons but and still wearing store-bought. I plan to take the cowboy curtains that the boys outgrew and make an apron.

Welcome to the forum Pam!! What type of cloth dolls do you make? I make some Waldorf style dolls. Aren't dolls the funnest to make?
