Here are two pictures (I hope) of my 15 yo daughters baby blanket. It was supposed to be remade into Christmas stockings when she was about 8 months old, but she fell in love with it and has kept it ever since. I am in desperate need of the strawberry fabric, or something very similar. If you have a yard or two you'd be willing to barter for, or I can pay you. Please let me know! I want to fix it for her. Help!!!

I wish I could help you...but you know who I would email..we have a farmgirl named Berries (gloria) who isn't as active lately..but she is all about strawberries..I would guess her to be the one most likely to have some. I would email her through here..click up on Members..find her name and email her!! She is just as sweet as can be and will help if she can I bet!!

I didn't make the original blanket. I found it at a garage sale or thrift store and was going to cut it up for christmas stockings. But then the little one kiped it and has had it since!

I will try emailing gloria and see if she might have some. Thanks

If you can't find the fabric- what about replacing it with a new fabric that is similar?

I have a similar fabric. Sadly, a resident tween robbed me of the batteries in my camera. How much do you need? I have scraps left over from an apron I made. I have a picture of the apron, I will email it to you. If they will work you can just have them. I also have TONS of Christmas fabric that may work if it comes to that.

It was the daughter who suggested asking the farmgirls if they had fabric I could barter for. She actually wants me to have the sender address it to HER so she can get something cool in the mail. If all else fails, I will have to do a different fabric, but I am pretty sure there are enough strawberry scraps floating around in the farmgirl stockpiles, some will show up!!! Even if I have to piece the back, it would be ok.

She is the youngest daughter and will be 16 in August. She has more spunk than you can imagine!!! She wants to be a rock star, but wants her cherished baby blanket fixed. It's a crack up.

Ah Ha! That is so funny! What to do you want to bet that within 10 years she is a tried and true farmgirl? I used to be spunky (sassy!) girl like her! LOL I still have lots of spunk but I think I channel it in different directions these days!

I mailed out the scraps on Friday. We had a party today and now I'm relaxing. I hope they will help get you started on the patch up.

I am just glad I had something that could be useful to you. I always keep my scraps for a tear or patch job. I love patching my dh's work jeans with funky fabric. The other guys get a laugh out of the strawberry shortcake knees.

Not the same. But really cute with strawberry's on it. Gloria is going to send some also. She might have scraps of the same, she was going to look. Between the two, it will be awesome I am sure! I will do before and after pictures. =)
