Well like I said On my site, it would be a great day to read. But the little ones will all be over and then the big ones will be back for dinner. So the reading can wait. But there will be no playing outside today.
I made cookies. Going to go put a hook in the upstairs wall to hang my bed warmer that I got at a garage sale. Maybe make a big pot roast to feed the troops when they show up,and that pile of books I took a picture of, well I don't think that pile will get any smaler today.

Sounds like a great Sunday! Food, family and cookies.......plus a new bed warmer! I saw it on your site. It is amazing. Does the handle stay on when it is in the bed warming someone?

Quiet Sunday here - I am even playing hooky from church, although hubby went. He had to cook breakfast and then be a chalice bearer. Yesterday was dance recital day for a little grand, so we won't see the family today. :( I love to cook for all of them, and it sound like you do too.

Have a great day!

Today is packing, cleaning and organizing. I think that is going to be my life for the next month and a half. However...I don't really want to do it and I did have a set of sheets wear out on me...so I might be naughty and spend the day making 2 or 3 rag rugs. I can't wait to use them as the foundation for a whole new decorating style when we move. :D I want to get rid of a lot that isn't "comfortable style" and start over fresh! I am really excited!!

Well summer has arrived here a little like an unexpected friend - welcome for certain but we werent totally repared. The last two days have been in the high 90's... considering we werent breaking 70 before that, it has been a little of a shock. Although we had a HUGE Farmers Market day yesterday which was so excited. Both in the number of venders and attendees. One of the venders at the market was selling rasberry starts for $1 a piece....SO who could resist that? So the new back yard is taking on quite the life of its own.. The tomoto's (heirloom) have graduated out of the official garden space into a raised bed that has been labled "the salad bar".. lettuce, tomatoes and and the likes.... Grapes are now trellised and blueberries Rhubarb and raspberries are now taking the 1st place in the yard.. ( oh and my apricot tree and almond tree).. all organic of course. I read an article recently about CA almonds even though they are sold as RAW are going through a radiation process that kills the active enzymes.. UGH!! So... anyway.. there she is My own personal almond tree. So between that ( planting , watering, caring for my yard.. and taking care of my friends horses while she is in the hospital.. the weekend is flying by.

Alee - I will have to get mine out( rag rug).. it is about 1/2 done... should finish it for the deck... My hubby is planning on building a Pagota for the upper deck so we can sit out there.. it is usually to hot....

Rene- Oh you should! I whipped mine up so quickly! They are so fun to do. I am sitting here on the couch surrounded by strips and I am putting them together and rolling them into a ball to make my second rug :D

Well today turned out differently than planned--or not planned. Shannon and Kylee were off to a horse Playday and they wanted me to come and take pictures. The dog (yes Bingo) followed them all the way down to the road so I went to look for him but they had already picked him up and phoned and said they had him. First time he did that. Then back they came because the games were cancelled because the ground was still to wet in the arena, even though we have had two days of HOT weather. Then Jolene, Robert and Mattea came over and robert did some weedwhacking for me and Jolene cleaned the lower gutters and I took Mattea for a ride on the pony (Bucky) .Now everyone went home and I am relaxing. I still need to get some other stuff done--but Ya know--it will always be there. MB

We had Lauren's dance recital, all weekend. It is bittersweet. I won't miss dragging her to lessons every Tuesday, but she was so wonderful (all the classes were!) it makes it all worth it.

By this evening though, I had a screaming headache, that was teetering on the brink of a migraine.
I think from all the stress and activity. I am glad this is only once per year.

Tonight I watched the last installment of "Cranford" on PBS-Masterpiece Classic in the dark waiting for my Excedrin "Migraine" headache (LOL-as if!) pills to kick in and my head to decide whether it is indeed a migraine, or just a killer headache.
Obviously, the Excedrin kicked in so it isn't a migraine this time.

Anyhow, back to the salt mines tomorrow for some relaxation. LOL
